Hailee Steinfeld<\/strong><\/a> is back with a new song!<\/p>\n The 28-year-old actress and singer just released \u201cDangerous<\/em><\/strong>,\u201d from her new movie Sinners<\/strong><\/a><\/em>, which both debuted on Friday (April 18).<\/p>\n This marks Hailee<\/strong>\u2018s first music release since \u201cSunKissing\u201d in March 2023!<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s been a long two years away from music and I\u2019m so beyond grateful for this moment,\u201d she shared on Instagram<\/a>. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Hailee<\/strong> wrote the song with composer and co-writer Sarah Aarons<\/strong>, and Ludwig G\u00f6ransson<\/strong>. <\/p>\n \u201cWe were all so tuned into the vision, and because I was both inside the story as an actor, and helping shape it through music, it created this really fluid creative loop,\u201d Hailee<\/strong> told Billboard<\/a><\/em>. <\/p>\n \u201cBlending music and acting like this feels like the fullest expression of who I am,\u201d she added. \u201cIt\u2019s rare to have a project that lets you show up completely \u2014 and Sinners <\/em>gave me that.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cLyrically, I wanted to tap into Mary\u2019s deep desire to be with Stack and (maybe selfishly) not always acknowledging what a dangerous position that puts them in,\u201d Hailee<\/strong> added of the song and her character. \u201cThat sort of unrequited love. There\u2019s a vulnerability in these characters that I really connected with, and I wanted my voice to reflect that.\u201d<\/p>\n Hailee <\/strong>also shared with Billboard<\/strong> that two years away from music was \u201cthe exact amount of time I needed \u2013 to grow, live a little, and step back to reconnect with why I make music in the first place. I didn\u2019t want to come back just to fill space. I wanted it to mean something.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cThere was something so raw and emotional about Sinners<\/em> that pushed me creatively and personally,\u201d she said. \u201cThe music became an extension of that. It felt honest and it felt like me again.
