\t\t<\/p>\n Bowen Yang<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about baring it all on screen.<\/p>\n The Saturday Night Live<\/em> actor stars in the new movie The Wedding Banquet<\/strong><\/a><\/em>, which is a remake of the 1993 Chinese film of the same name in which two queer couples who are friends help each other out with family, while navigating cultural expectations and more. <\/p>\n In one scene in the movie, which was directed and co-written by Andrew Ahn<\/strong><\/a>, Bowen<\/strong> flashes his bare butt while jumping out of bed.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span>\u201cIt was something that for anyone other than Andrew Ahn, I would\u2019ve been like, \u2018Let\u2019s talk about coverage,\u2019 and \u2018I\u2019m not going to show nip,\u2019 and \u2018I\u2019m not going to show butt,\u2019\u201d Bowen<\/strong> told Entertainment Weekly<\/a><\/em> about the scene. <\/p>\n \u201cI would\u2019ve gotten really granular about that,\u201d he continued. \u201cBut there was just something about playing the comedy of that scene, which is such a shocking moment. And then you\u2019re supposed to believe that these two people are so good about moving past it and then immediately having to de-queer the house in a way that cleanses the stakes.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThere was no hesitation in the end because it just felt so integral,\u201d the Wicked<\/em> actor added of the scene. \u201cI just think it\u2019s a very important part of the story, that you see these two people jump out of bed, scream at each other, and then go, \u2018This doesn\u2019t mean anything. Okay, bye!\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n Bowen<\/strong> also confirmed that it\u2019s his real butt in the the movie and that he didn\u2019t wear any padding.<\/p>\n \u201cYou will be able to tell from the flat topography of my buttocks that I bare it all,\u201d he joked.<\/p>\n The Wedding Banquet<\/em>, which also stars Kelly Marie Tran<\/strong><\/a>, Lily Gladstone<\/strong><\/a>, and Han Gi-chan<\/strong><\/a>, is out in theaters now.
