Lisa Vanderpump<\/strong><\/a> is so ready for Stassi Schroeder<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s long-awaited return to reality TV.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love having somebody to play with,\u201d Vanderpump, 64, told Us Weekly<\/em> exclusively for this week\u2019s cover story<\/a>. \u201cI don\u2019t want to be the boss all the time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Schroeder is making an appearance on Vanderpump Villa<\/em><\/a> season 2 \u2014 set to premiere via Hulu on Thursday, April 24 \u2014 as a \u201cspecial VIP\u201d in the Italian castle Vanderpump rented out for the cast\u2019s summer stay.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s fun to have somebody to banter with,\u201d Vanderpump continued. \u201cI can\u2019t be as casual with my staff as I would be with a friend, so to speak.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAlbert L. Ortega\/Getty Images Stassi Schroeder isn\u2019t just returning to reality TV \u2014 she\u2019s reuniting with Lisa Vanderpump and scoring herself a development deal. Hulu announced on Friday, August 9, that Schroeder, 36, is joining the season 2 cast of Vanderpump Villa as part of a larger deal including her own show, Stassi Says. The [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Schroeder worked under Vanderpump for eight seasons of Vanderpump Rules<\/em><\/a> until she was fired from Bravo in 2020. (She and former and costar Kristen Doute<\/strong> reported Black costar Faith Stowers<\/strong> to the police for a crime she didn\u2019t commit<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI understood why [she was let go], but I would\u2019ve rather kept her, chastised her and let her learn from it,\u201d Vanderpump told Us<\/em> of the decision to let her former employee go, noting that she \u201calways\u201d wanted Schroeder to come back.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a difficult position for me,\u201d Vanderpump recalled. \u201cI wasn\u2019t consulted. Everything was in such disarray.\u201d<\/p>\n

Schroeder references her firing during her Vanderpump Villa<\/em> season 2 cameo, admitting that she never wanted to leave Vanderpump Rules<\/em>. In many ways, her appearance in the Hulu series offers her a second chance.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was very poignant, because it was a sign of the times and her actions. The world is changing,\u201d Vanderpump added. \u201cI hate this cancellation policy \u2014 people are expected to be exemplary and not make mistakes. We all make mistakes. She did something totally inappropriate and learned from it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tIt wouldn\u2019t be a Stassi Schroeder reality TV return without a cameo from the dark passenger. During the Wednesday, March 26, episode of her \u201cStassi\u201d podcast, Schroeder, 36, addressed moments in the trailer for season 2 of Vanderpump Villa in which she and husband Beau Clark are fighting. \u201cI haven\u2019t [had] the dark passenger in [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

While she\u2019s grown from her past \u2014 Schroeder is now married<\/a> to Beau Clark<\/strong> and a mother of two<\/a> \u2014 Vanderpump hints that not too much has changed over the past two years.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s still Stassi and says things most people wouldn\u2019t even think of, but there\u2019s an essence of responsibility that has continually grown,\u201d the restaurant owner added.<\/p>\n
