Nate Bargatze<\/strong> is looking forward to hosting the 77th annual Emmy Awards this year.<\/p>\n

After previously working with CBS in his holiday special Nate Bargatze\u2019s Nashville Christmas<\/em> in 2024, Variety<\/em><\/a> revealed that the stand up comedian would be hosting the 2025 Emmys.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a huge honor to be asked to host such an iconic awards show and I\u2019m beyond excited to work with CBS to create a night that can be enjoyed by families around the world,\u201d Bargatze shared in a statement to Variety.<\/em><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Television Academy chair Cris Abrego<\/strong> also shared his excitement over Bargatze hosting the annual television award show.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe SAG Awards are headed back to Netflix for the show\u2019s 2025 awards ceremony. The 31st annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will stream live on Netflix on Sunday, February 23, marking the second time the ceremony will air on the streamer. This year\u2019s show also marks the second time Kristen Bell will take on the [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

While nominations have yet to be released, last year the FX series Sh\u014dgun<\/em> took home the most Emmy Awards with 18 wins. The series made history as the most-winning show in a single season.<\/p>\n

Who Is Hosting the 2025 Emmys?<\/h3>\n

Bargatze will serve as the host for the 77th annual Emmy Awards. While this is the first time the comedian will be hosting the famed award show, it is far from his first hosting gig. Bargatze hosted Saturday Night Live<\/em> in 2023 and 2024 \u2014 which he credits for really jump-starting his stand up career.<\/p>\n

\u201cSNL\u2019s<\/em> really done a lot of stuff for me,\u201d he told People<\/em><\/a> in February 2025. \u201cI owe a lot of this to SNL<\/em>, and Caitlyn Somers, Lorne [Michaels].\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n
