Austin Nichols<\/strong><\/a> admits he was \u201ctoo old\u201d to be kissing Mary-Kate Olsen<\/strong><\/a> in Holiday in the Sun<\/em> \u2014 and \u201cfelt wrong\u201d about it at the time.<\/p>\n In an interview on the \u201cDrama Queens\u201d podcast released on Tuesday, April 15<\/a>, Nichols said that One Tree Hill<\/em> and Holiday in the Sun<\/em> shared a \u201csimilar\u201d audience. But when it was time for his character\u2019s onscreen kiss with Olsen, things felt a little off.<\/p>\n \u201cI was definitely nervous because Mary-Kate was 15, and I was, I think, 18 or 19, or maybe even 20. I don\u2019t remember, but I was too old,\u201d he explained. \u201cAnd it felt weird, and it felt wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n He continued, \u201cAnd I looked very young, so watching the movie, I don\u2019t think you notice. I\u2019m real tall and skinny and nerdy. But I don\u2019t think you can tell there\u2019s a big age difference. But from my brain, I was like, \u2018She\u2019s 15. This is weird.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n The episode isn\u2019t Nichols\u2019 first appearance on the podcast. He stopped by<\/a> in February 2024 and discussed the fact that the show\u2019s production team hired him \u2013 at least in part \u2014 because he was dating One Tree Hill<\/em> star Sophia Bush<\/strong>, one of the hosts of \u201cDrama Queens.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI had been through a not-great breakup and had decided I hated men and sweet Austin Nichols came around and brought me on my first date since then,\u201d Bush said at the time<\/a>.<\/p>\n
