The White Lotus<\/em><\/a> season 3 costars Walton Goggins<\/strong> and Aimee Lou Wood<\/strong><\/a> had wildly different reactions to a Saturday Night Live<\/em><\/a> sketch parodying their characters<\/a>, fueling ongoing rumors of a feud between the pair.<\/p>\n

Walton, 53, reposted the \u201cWhite Potus\u201d skit in an Instagram Reel after the pre-taped piece opened the April 12 episode of SNL<\/em>. He wrote that it was \u201csmashing\u201d and told Jon Hamm<\/strong> \u2014 who played his White Lotus<\/em> character Rick Hatchett \u2014 \u201cI knew I was miscast.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Justified<\/em> alum even commented on SNL<\/em>\u2018s Instagram post<\/a> about the sketch, writing, \u201cHahahahahhahaha Amazzzingggg.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aimee, 31, had a far different reaction, as Sarah Sherman<\/strong>\u2018s version of Chelsea featured fake oversized teeth that appeared to mock the actress\u2019 real mouth.<\/p>\n

The Sex Education<\/em> alum wrote in an Instagram Story on Sunday, April 13, \u201cI did find the SNL<\/em> thing mean and unfunny.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aimee went on to repost an Instagram Story showing support from her sister, Emma Wood<\/strong>, who called her sibling a \u201cpowerhouse.\u201d The makeup artist, 28, added, \u201cThe admiration I have for this woman is nuts. Beyond comprehension. JUST like my feelings of deep animalistic protectiveness over her.\u201d<\/p>\n

The On the Edge<\/em> actress also shared Instagram Stories showing support from famous friends. Cara Delevingne<\/strong> wrote, \u201c@aimeelouwood YOU ARE STUNNING PERIOD,\u201d while model Georgia May Jagger<\/strong> reposted Cara\u2019s Story, adding, \u201cAgreed! @aimeelouwood is gorgeous.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aimee also made it clear she was upset about how she was portrayed in the sketch that Walton found so hilarious.<\/p>\n

\u201cLast thing I\u2019ll say on this matter. I\u2019m not thin-skinned. I love being taken the piss out of when it\u2019s clever and in good spirits,\u201d she added in a follow-up Story post on April 13.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut the joke was about fluoride. I have big gap teeth, not bad teeth. I don\u2019t mind caricature \u2014 I understand that\u2019s what SNL<\/em> is. But the rest of the skit was punching up and I\/Chelsea was the only one punched down on.\u201d<\/p>\n

Walton has since deleted his Instagram reel praising the sketch, although his comment about it being \u201camazing\u201d remains on the SNL<\/em> post.<\/p>\n

The pair have fueled rumors of a feud ever since White Lotus<\/em>\u2018 season finale aired on April 6, showing Rick and Chelsea\u2019s tragic fates.<\/p>\n

Up until then, Aimee and Walton had been openly supportive of each other throughout season 3, commenting on Instagram posts.<\/p>\n

Eagle-eyed fans noticed that after the season finale aired, Walton stopped following Aimee Lou. Some speculated he may have blocked her, as her comments disappeared from his posts. Days later, Aimee reciprocated and quit following Walton on Instagram.<\/p>\n

The Righteous Gemstones<\/em> star gave Aimee a simple shout-out in his lengthy post<\/a> after the finale where he chose to focus on their characters.<\/p>\n

\u201cRick + Chelsea. With the heaviest of hearts \u2026 To me, ours was a love story. It was only ever a love story, hindered by unresolved, childhood trauma. We all have them \u2026 but can we move past them,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

After thanking White Lotus<\/em> creator, writer and director Mike White<\/strong> \u201cfor your imagination, your tender heart, for the privilege of giving us the opportunity to tell it,\u201d Walton briefly mentioned his onscreen love.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you, Aimee Lou, for being my partner \u2026 a journey I will never forget,\u201d he added before giving major props to his close friend and costar, Sam Rockwell<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Aimee hinted that she and Walton were very different people when discussing how he skipped watching the finale with her and numerous other costars in Los Angeles on April 6.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was sad that Walton wasn\u2019t there because it was something that we did together but also it\u2019s so f\u2013king Rick and Chelsea,\u201d Aimee told The Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cLike, of course Walton had to watch it alone and of course I had to watch it in the group because there is so much Aimee in Chelsea and so much Walton in Rick,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

It turned out Walton didn\u2019t watch it alone, as he shared on April 7 that he watched the White Lotus<\/em> season finale with costar and friend Michelle Monaghan<\/strong>, who played Jaclyn Lemon in the hit series.<\/p>\n

Aimee told The Hollywood Reporter<\/em> that she was relieved that her journey as Chelsea has finally played out on screen and was happy to let the character go, believing Walton felt the same.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think both of us are feeling a similar thing today of, \u2018OK I can let go of the parts of this character, of Chelsea, that have been holding me back and I can grow up in the way that Chelsea couldn\u2019t.\u2019 And at the same time, all the bits that I love about her, I can take with me,\u201d she told the publication.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, there\u2019s this weird feeling today of rebirth, and I\u2019m sure that Walton feels the same about Rick because it\u2019s like, whatever the f\u2013k was going on in him, that was Rick, and he can let go of it now. Like Chelsea says, \u2018You\u2019re free. It\u2019s a new day.\u2019 And it\u2019s true. It feels like today is the first new day that I\u2019ve had in a very long time,\u201d Aimee added.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
