Cassandra was an actress who was born in Sydney, Australia, on December 15, 1948. She attended the country\u2019s National Institute of Dramatic Art, going on to work in theater productions, TV and films. Some of her acting credits include the TV series Shadows<\/em> in 1978, Enemy at the Door<\/em> in 1980 and Rough Cut<\/em> that same year.<\/p>\n

Cassandra Harris Was Married Three Times<\/h2>\n

Cassandra tied the knot with William Firth in 1964, although they divorced in 1970. She went on to marry legendary actor Richard Harris\u2019 brother, producer Dermot Harris, that same year.<\/p>\n

Dermot and Cassandra welcomed a daughter, Charlotte, in 1971. They added to their family with the birth of Christopher<\/strong> in 1973. The pair divorced in 1978.<\/p>\n

Cassandra and Pierce married on December 27, 1980.<\/p>\n

How Did Cassandra Harris and Pierce Brosnan Meet?<\/h2>\n

The duo met via mutual friend David Harris<\/strong>, who happened to be Richard Harris\u2019 nephew. David and Pierce were friends who met during drama school in London.<\/p>\n

The couple was together until her death following a battle with ovarian cancer on December 28, 1991, at the age of 43.<\/p>\n

Cassandra Harris and Pierce Brosnan Shared a Son<\/h2>\n

Cassandra gave birth to the couple\u2019s only biological child, Sean Brosnan<\/strong>, on September 13, 1983.<\/p>\n

Pierce went on to legally adopt Cassandra\u2019s kids Charlotte and Christopher after Dermot Harris\u2019 death from a heart attack in 1986. Both children took on the surname Brosnan.<\/p>\n

Cassandra Harris Lost a Brave Battle With Ovarian Cancer<\/h2>\n

The For Your Eyes Only<\/em> actress was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 1987. She battled the disease for four years before dying in December 1991. Cassandra lost her own mother to ovarian cancer when she was a teenager.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom day one, we really had a fight on our hands,\u201d Pierce told People<\/em><\/a> in 1992, four months after his wife\u2019s death. \u201cThis wasn\u2019t a shadow or a small tumor \u2014 this had invaded Cassie\u2019s being.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also revealed that Cassandra underwent eight operations as well as chemotherapy during her battle with cancer.<\/p>\n

Cassandra Harris\u2019 Daughter Charlotte Brosnan Also Died From Ovarian Cancer<\/h2>\n

In a cruel twist of fate, Cassadra\u2019s daughter Charlotte died from ovarian cancer in 2013, at the age of 41.<\/p>\n

Pierce revealed during his 1992 interview with People shortly after his wife\u2019s death that Charlotte had already started undergoing regular checkups due to her family history over ovarian cancer, as the Mrs. Doubtfire<\/em> star warned, \u201cThis is a silent killer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pierce still remembers Charlotte fondly. In 2020, he shared an Instagram post<\/a> on the seventh anniversary of her passing. \u201cHere\u2019s looking at you kid \u2026 in remembrance of Charlotte,\u201d the Mama Mia!<\/em> star wrote in the caption of a photo showing him sitting on the porch at his home in Hawaii.<\/p>\n

Pierce Brosnan Deeply Mourned Cassandra Harris\u2019 Death<\/h2>\n

\u201c[Cassie] made me the man I am, the actor I am, the father I am,\u201d he told People<\/em> in 1992. \u201cThere is an incredible cruelty in it all, losing a person you shared everything with.\u201d<\/p>\n

The duo began dating shortly thereafter and went on to welcome two sons: Dylan Thomas Brosnan<\/strong> in January 1997, and Paris Beckett Brosnan<\/strong> in February 2001.<\/p>\n
