Rebecca Gayheart<\/strong><\/a> stepped out for the first time following husband Eric Dane<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s ALS diagnosis.<\/p>\n

The 53-year-old actress appeared to be in good spirits as she posed for photos on Monday, April 14, while out and about in Los Angeles. Gayheart kept it casual in a white T-shirt that read \u201cLoving,\u201d in black text paired with jeans and a pair of dark red mules. She smiled for photographers while getting out of her car, wearing a pair of red glasses.<\/p>\n

This marked Gayheart\u2019s first public outing since Dane, 52, announced on Thursday, April 10, that he revealed details about his health journey<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have been diagnosed with ALS. I am grateful to have my loving family by my side as we navigate this next chapter,\u201d the Grey\u2019s Anatomy<\/em><\/a> alum shared in a statement with People<\/em>. \u201cI feel fortunate that I am able to continue working and am looking forward to returning to set of Euphoria<\/em><\/a> next week. I kindly ask that you give my family and I privacy during this time.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAmyotrophic lateral sclerosis is more commonly known as ALS, or Lou Gehrig\u2019s disease. Grey\u2019s Anatomy alum Eric Dane announced on Thursday, April 9, that he had been diagnosed with the nervous system disease. \u201cI have been diagnosed with ALS,\u201d the 52-year-old actor shared in a statement. \u201cI am grateful to have my loving family by [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Hours prior, news broke that Gayheart had filed to dismiss her divorce<\/a> from Dane. They had been separated for seven years.<\/p>\n

Dane and Gayheart \u2014 who share daughters Billie, 15, and Georgia, 13<\/a> \u2014 married in 2004, and she filed for divorce in 2018, citing irreconcilable differences. The duo never went through with their split.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are best of friends. We are really close. We are great coparents,\u201d Gayheart said of Dane<\/a> during an interview with E! She added, \u201cI think it\u2019s important to not look at a relationship that ends as a failure. It\u2019s just a season. It wasn\u2019t a failure. It was a huge success. We were married for, I mean, we are still married, but together for 15 years and we had two beautiful kids so I think that\u2019s a successful relationship, and that\u2019s how we look at it.\u201d<\/p>\n
