In December 2022, for example, Michelle said there was a decade during their relationship when \u201cshe couldn\u2019t stand\u201d her husband.<\/p>\n
In May 2023, when Obama was asked about his wife\u2019s previous remarks on CBS Mornings, he replied:<\/p>\n
\u201cLet me just say this: it sure helps to be out of the White House. And to have a little more time with her\u2026<\/p>\n
\u201cMichelle \u2014 when our girls were growing up, that was priority number one, two, three and four.<\/p>\n

Observers have been wondering whether we\u2019re about to witness the first-ever Presidential divorce, with $70 million at stake between the pair if so.<\/p>\n
But the Obamas pay this sort of talk no mind.<\/p>\n
\u201cThrough it all, what kept us sane \u2014 and we tried to instill this in our daughters \u2014 is, you cannot live through social media,\u201d Michelle told her brother, Craig Robinson, in a talk at SXSW in March. \u201cI don\u2019t think I have ever once looked at a comment section, period.\u201d<\/p>\n
One must wonder whether or not this remains the case, however.<\/p>\nThat sounds like sage advice in our opinion.<\/p>\n
On Valentine\u2019s Day 2025, meanwhile, both husband and wife wrote some very nice things online about the other.<\/p>\n
\u201cThirty-two years together and you still take my breath away. Happy Valentine\u2019s Day, @MichelleObama!\u201d wrote the the two-time Commander-in-Chief on February 14.<\/p>\n
Added Michelle on that same date:<\/p>\n
\u201cIf there\u2019s one person I can always count on, it\u2019s you, @BarackObama. You\u2019re my rock. Always have been. Always will be. Happy Valentine\u2019s Day, honey!\u201d<\/p>\n

Looking ahead, however?<\/p>\n
Michelle \u201cloves France, Italy, Spain, Greece, all those Mediterranean countries where the pace of life is slower, and things are simpler,\u201d the Sun insists.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe is really interested by this possibility, to go there for some months, I don\u2019t know if Barack would join her or not, but she really would love to live this kind of experience as soon as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
