Katy Perry<\/strong><\/a> is ready to blast off!<\/p>\n

The \u201cFirework\u201d singer, 40, shared a behind-the-scenes video of her preparation before she and an all-women Blue Origin flight crew go into space on Monday, April 14.<\/p>\n

In a video shared<\/a> via Instagram late Sunday, April 13, Perry showed fans the inside of the New Shepard rocket that \u201cwe have been training in for the last few days.\u201d Perry pointed out that she is in seat number two, showing off a chair with \u201cK. Perry\u201d written on it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think I\u2019m gonna sing, sing a little bit. I gotta sing in space!\u201d Perry declared in the video.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do believe this. I\u2019m not going to say I can\u2019t believe here,\u201d Perry added. \u201cI do believe this because I think that believing your dreams and saying that is actually how you make your dreams come true.\u201d<\/p>\n

Perry captioned the video, \u201cI\u2019ve dreamt of going to space for 15 years and tomorrow that dream becomes a reality \ud83d\udc69\ud83c\udffb\u200d\ud83d\ude80\ud83e\udeb6\ud83d\udc22.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Taking Up Space Crew launches tomorrow morning at 7am CT and I am SO honored to be alongside 5 other incredible and inspiring women as we become the first ever all female flight space crew,\u201d she added, tagging her fellow passengers.<\/p>\n

Jeff Bezos<\/strong>\u2019 Blue Origin announced in February<\/a> that Perry and CBS Mornings<\/em> host Gayle King<\/strong> will be among the six women to fly into space on Monday. The flight is notable for featuring the first all-women crew since Russian cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova<\/strong>\u2018s solo spaceflight in 1963.<\/p>\n

Perry and King will be joined by aerospace engineer Aisha Bowe<\/strong>, civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen<\/strong>, film producer Kerianne Flynn<\/strong> and Bezos\u2019 fianc\u00e9e, Lauren S\u00e1nchez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Following the announcement of the mission in February, Perry took to social media to express her excitement.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you had told me that I would be part of the first ever all-female crew in space, I would have believed you \u2665\ufe0f\ud83d\ude09,\u201d the \u201cCalifornia Girls\u201d singer wrote via Instagram. \u201cNothing was beyond my imagination as a child. Although we didn\u2019t grow up with much, I never stopped looking at the world with hopeful WONDER! I work hard to live my life that way still, and I am motivated more than ever to be an example for my daughter that women should take up space (pun intended).\u201d<\/p>\n
