A scary setback. Carl Radke<\/strong><\/a> was sent to the emergency room days before he proposed to Lindsay Hubbard<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 and the Summer House<\/em><\/a> cameras documented it all.<\/p>\n \u201cWe went to a concert \u2026 and all of a sudden, [Carl] said, \u2018I need to sit down,\u2019\u201d Lindsay, 36, recalled during the Monday, May 1, episode of the Bravo series of the frightening event. \u201cHis legs were wobbling and he\u2019s looking at me, [saying], \u2018I can\u2019t feel my legs.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n The former Loverboy vice president of sales<\/a>, 38, was then taken to the concert\u2019s medical tent before being transported to the hospital.<\/p>\n \u201cThey essentially say to me, \u2018His blood pressure and his heart rate are so low, so we\u2019re sending him to the ER,\u2019\u201d Lindsay told pal Kyle Cooke<\/strong><\/a> during the episode, which was filmed in August 2022<\/a>, noting that Carl was back home and napping.<\/p>\n Kyle, 40, told the cameras that he was positive Carl\u2019s spell was due to his upcoming proposal to Lindsay<\/a> which was planned for that weekend.<\/p>\n \u201cHe thinks that he just had too much caffeine too much red bull,\u201d the Loverboy founder<\/a> said of his longtime friend. \u201cI, of course, think there\u2019s probably a lot of other things going on. I know the weekend of Carl\u2019s proposal is upon us because, like, he fainted and he\u2019s in the hospital. He\u2019s freaking out.\u201d<\/p>\n When Carl and Lindsay did arrive in the Hamptons the following day, he detailed the hospital visit for his housemates. \u201cWe\u2019re alive. I\u2019m feeling a lot better. I needed the rest. I feel a ton better,\u201d the Pittsburgh native told his friends, pointing out that the doctors said the incident was brought on by \u201ca lot of dehydration, exhaustion, stress.\u201d<\/p>\n He recalled being at the concert and \u201call of a sudden, I get blurry vision. My knees [were] very weak. I was like, \u2018I\u2019m going to fall over.\u2019 I couldn\u2019t stand up.\u201d<\/p>\n Carl later revealed during a confessional: \u201cI panic attacked myself into the hospital. Jesus, Carl, get your s\u2014t together.\u201d<\/p>\n Elsewhere during the episode, the Bravo star, who proposed to Lindsay in August 2022<\/a>, explained to Kyle that his stress and anxiety over the big moment played a part in his hospitalization. \u201cI\u2019ve been trying to pull off the surprise of a century. There\u2019s definitely some nerves,\u201d Carl said.<\/p>\n The minor setback<\/a>, however, didn\u2019t keep the TV personality from getting down on one knee, which fans saw play out at the end of Monday\u2019s episode.<\/p>\n \u201cSince the day I met you, seven years ago I knew you were somebody who was going to be special in my life. You\u2019re my person. You\u2019re my best friend. You\u2019re my lover,\u201d Carl gushed to his partner at the beach. \u201cI\u2019m just so excited to build a future with you. My heart\u2019s beating out of my chest right now, I\u2019m so nervous. Lindsay Dale Hubbard, will you marry me?\u201d<\/p>\n The Hubb House PR founder<\/a> started crying before responding: \u201cA thousand times yes. I love you so much. I\u2019ll marry you a thousand times.\u201d<\/p>\n
