The \u2018Severance\u2019 actor, 52, made the admission to People and said it winds up his wife as he does it at all hours if he can\u2019t sleep.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cYou know, something that is a habit of mine, and I don’t know if it’s toxic or not.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy wife has started losing patience with me… (it\u2019s) that I love doing laundry.\u201d <\/p>\n
The \u2018Parks and Rec\u2019 star went on to explain his routine with cleaning clothes, adding: \u201cI love it and I\u2019ll do it at all times of the day. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cLike if I can’t get to sleep, I’ll look for laundry to do and I’ll do it. I love putting it in and measuring the soap and waiting and then putting it in.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nHis enthusiasm for laundry has earned him the title of having a \u201ctoxic trait\u201d from his wife, Naomi Scott, though he\u2019s not sure if that label truly fits.<\/p>\n
\nAdam said it wasn\u2019t always his passion, adding: \u201cIt\u2019s not something I\u2019ve always loved. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cI kind of discovered, in turning into a grown-up, that I love the process of doing laundry. <\/p>\n
\n\u201c(My family) find it annoying, honestly.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nAdam met his wife, producer Naomi Scott (n\u00e9e Sablan), in 1998, and the two married in 2005. <\/p>\n
\nThey now have two children \u2013 son Graham and daughter Frankie \u2013 and have co-founded Gettin\u2019 Rad Productions together.<\/p>\n
\nThe actor also reflected on the reception of \u2018Severance\u2019 season 2, in which he stars as Mark S., an employee of the enigmatic company Lumon. <\/p>\n
\nIn the sci-fi thriller, Mark struggles with his severed personality, attempting to separate his work life from his personal grief over the death of his wife.<\/p>\n
\nHe said about the new run of the show: \u201cI feel great. It is nice to be able to talk about it because we\u2019ve been sitting on all these big crazy secrets for years, but it\u2019s also great to see the reaction because you really just never know how people are gonna react until it’s out there in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe actor also admitted the team behind the series was initially anxious about how the second season would be received. <\/p>\n
\nHe added:\u201cWe were freaked out that people wouldn’t like it or that they just wouldn\u2019t think it\u2019s as good as season one. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cAnd so we were scared that people wouldn\u2019t watch as much in the numbers that they did season 1, so it’s great to see it out in the world and people reacting well to it.\u201d<\/p>\n
