I\u2019ve loved \u201ctablescaping\u201d for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I\u2019d jump at any excuse to set the table\u2014Sunday dinners, holidays, even regular weeknights. I went through a serious napkin-folding phase (I\u2019m talking flowers, hearts, animals\u2026I\u2019d even refold them at restaurants). At home, I\u2019d use wrapping paper as a makeshift runner, sprinkle confetti around (much to my mother\u2019s annoyance), and rummage through drawers for anything remotely decorative.<\/p>\n
To this day, I still like to set the table\u2014even if it’s just for a casual dinner with friends. It\u2019s how I grew up eating, and to me, it turns a regular meal into a moment.
