\u201cGirls. My partner is non-binary,\u201d responded Siwa, who is currently dating Australian influencer Kath Ebbs.<\/p>\n
Rourke replied, \u201cIf I stay longer than four days, you won\u2019t be gay anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI can guarantee I\u2019ll still be gay. And I\u2019ll still be in a very happy relationship,\u201d Siwa shot back, still trying to keep the conversation light.<\/p>\n

(Photo by Kevin Winter\/Getty Images)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nRourke then told costar Chris Hughes that he was \u201cgoing to vote the lesbian out real quick.\u201d Hughes, understandably, took offense to the remark and decried Rourke\u2019s homophobia.<\/p>\n
The backlash grows<\/h2>\n In the days since, many have spoken out against Rourke\u2019s recent and previous misconduct.<\/p>\n
One public figure who called him out was actress Bella Thorne, who worked with Rourke on the 2020 film Girl.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis f\u2013king dude. GROSS,\u201d Thorne wrote on Instagram on Thursday. <\/p>\n
\u201cI had to work with this man \u2013 In a scene Where I\u2019m on my knees with my hands zip tied around my back. He\u2019s supposed to take a metal grinder to my knee cap and instead he used it on my genitals thru my jeans. Hitting them over and over again,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cIdk I guess he thought it was funny to humiliate me in front of the entire crew,\u201d she speculated.<\/p>\n
Thorne also recalled \u201chaving to go into [Rourke\u2019s] trailer absolutely alone \u2026 to convince him to show up and complete his job\u201d when he \u201crefused to speak to the director or producers.\u201d<\/p>\n
Otherwise, she explained, \u201ceveryone\u2019s work would have just been lost and completely for nothing.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mickey Rourke engaging in problematic behavior and bullying his most vulnerable colleagues is not earth-shattering news, as he\u2019s been doing this sort of thing for decades.<\/p>\n
But the fact that he\u2019s still doing this stuff at the age of 72 is more than a little depressing. Fortunately, the fact that young women are refusing to tolerate his BS is downright inspirational.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
