Meghan Trainor<\/strong><\/a> and her husband, actor Daryl Sabara<\/strong><\/a>, both went on GLP-1 medications.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe did 75 Hard after [our son] Riley was born and, man, did we crush,\u201d Trainor, 31, quipped on the Thursday, April 10, episode of the pair\u2019s \u201cWorkin\u2019 On It\u201d podcast<\/a>. \u201cThen, we heard more and more of our friends \u2014 and even our doctors \u2014 were on Mounjaro and Ozempic.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pop star decided to try Mounjaro<\/a> because it \u201chad less side effects\u201d than other weight loss drugs. (GLP-1 injections are primarily used to help adults with conditions like type 2 diabetes manage their weight.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI was like, \u2018I don\u2019t want any of that,\u2019 and \u2018I know how to do it on my own,\u2019\u201d she explained. \u201cI could do that, but when I asked my doctor, I was like, \u2018Tell me everything.\u2019 I did the research, and I felt safe.\u201d<\/p>\n

After meeting at a party in 2014, Trainor and Sabara didn\u2019t cross paths again until a a double date with actress Chlo\u00eb Grace Moretz and her then-boyfriend, Brooklyn [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Sabara, 32, chimed in, \u201cSo, I did it, too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trainor further stressed that she and Sabara, who have been married since 2019,\u00a0 already \u201cdo everything together,\u201d which made a joint weight loss effort<\/a> a natural fit.<\/p>\n

\u201cI also gained some [sympathy] pregnancy weight,\u201d said Sabara, who shares sons Riley and Barry<\/a> with Trainor. \u201cWe\u2019ve been on this journey for a while and we learned how there are right ways to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trainor and Sabara, who only take the \u201clowest dose\u201d possible of Mounjaro, make sure to supplement the medication with frequent workouts and balanced, healthy meals.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tDaryl Sabara gave an unfiltered tour of his and wife Meghan Trainor\u2018s house, which included a glimpse at her supply of laxatives. Sabara, 31, joined in on a TikTok trend with his Thursday, January 25, video, where he walked around the couple\u2019s home. \u201cI\u2019m Meghan Trainor\u2019s husband, of course I\u2019m all about the bass. No [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWe were like, \u2018We have to make sure we don\u2019t lose muscle that we worked so hard gaining all those years,\u2019\u201d Trainor said, adding that she has \u201cno shame\u201d<\/a> taking the GLP-1. \u201cWe stay in the gym, we work out, we eat right, and we just noticed that we were less hungry.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple have since learned many \u201clittle tricks\u201d to overhaul their diets.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had no portion control,\u201d Sabara quipped before Trainor added that he would eat \u201cCheesecake Factory\u201d-sized servings, even of healthy foods.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve learned so much about portions,\u201d Trainor added. \u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018Remember how big your stomach is.\u2019 I don\u2019t want to bug him and I always do. He\u2019s like, \u2018Are you fat-shaming me?\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018No, babe, I\u2019m looking out for you.\u2019 Our eyes are hungrier than our stomachs. I blame where we live [because] the portion sizes are ridiculous.\u201d<\/p>\n

To help, Trainor also replaced all of their kitchen plates with smaller versions.<\/p>\n
