\t\t<\/p>\n The Oscars<\/strong><\/a><\/em> will be adding a new category for the first time in years!<\/p>\n The Board of Governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced on Thursday (April 10) that a category for Best Stunt Design will be added for the 100th Academy Awards ceremony.<\/p>\n The category will be added at the 2028 awards show, which will honor movies released in 2027.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cSince the early days of cinema, stunt design has been an integral part of filmmaking,\u201d Academy CEO Bill Kramer<\/strong> and Academy president Janet Yang<\/strong> said in a statement. \u201cWe are proud to honor the innovative work of these technical and creative artists, and we congratulate them for their commitment and dedication in reaching this momentous occasion.\u201d <\/p>\n Another new category that is being added at the Oscars is Best Casting, which will be introduced at the 2026 show for movies released in 2025.<\/p>\n Only seven actors have won three or more Oscars<\/a> in the acting categories. <\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
