Kelly Reilly<\/strong><\/a> revealed why she missed Yellowstone<\/em><\/a>\u2018s PaleyFest panel after speculation about drama behind the scenes.<\/p>\n The Flight<\/em> actress, 45, responded to a fan who asked why she missed the event in an Instagram<\/a> comment on Sunday, April 30. \u201cQuestion: why didn\u2019t you show up at PaleyFest?\u201d asked the social media user.<\/p>\n \u201cI was filming in the UK at the time, and let them know in January I wouldn\u2019t be able to attend,\u201d Reilly replied. \u201cI was sorry to hear my name was still on the list of attendees, as it is unfair to our fans. Xx.\u201d<\/p>\n The conversation took place in the comments section of Reilly\u2019s latest post, which showed her posing with Succession<\/em><\/a> star Brian Cox<\/strong><\/a>. \u201cWorking with this legend is no fun at all,\u201d she quipped alongside two selfies taken with the Golden Globe winner, 76.<\/p>\n Last month, Reilly and her Yellowstone<\/em> costars made headlines when they were absent<\/a> from the Paramount Network drama\u2019s appearance at the Los Angeles festival. Kevin Costner<\/strong><\/a>, Cole Hauser<\/strong><\/a>, Luke Grimes<\/strong><\/a>, Kelsey Asbille<\/strong><\/a>, Wes Bentley<\/strong><\/a>, Gil Birmingham<\/strong><\/a> and Jacki Weaver<\/strong><\/a> were all scheduled to attend along with Reilly and showrunner Taylor Sheridan<\/strong><\/a>, but none of them were present for the April 1 event. Their costars Josh Lucas<\/strong><\/a>, Wendy Moniz<\/strong><\/a>, Mo Brings Plenty<\/strong><\/a> and Dawn Olivieri<\/strong><\/a> ultimately filled in, and press was notified 30 minutes before the red carpet began.<\/p>\n The shakeup came amid rumors that the show\u2019s future is up in the air following the midseason finale in January. Season 5\u2019s second half was scheduled to air this summer, but cast members have since confirmed that production hasn\u2019t actually started on the new episodes.<\/p>\n In February, Deadline<\/em> reported that Paramount Network was considering wrapping up Yellowstone<\/em> and moving to a spinoff series centered around Matthew McConaughey<\/strong><\/a> amid scheduling conflicts with Costner, 68. The network denied the report at the time, but last month, Paramount Media Networks president and CEO Chris McCarthy<\/strong> confirmed that the Interstellar<\/em> actor, 53, would indeed lead his own spinoff regardless of what happens with the original.<\/p>\n After the main cast missed PaleyFest, an insider exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> that \u201congoing issues\u201d between Costner and Sheridan, 52, caused the last-minute cancelation. \u201cIt\u2019s been an ongoing power play<\/a> between them,\u201d the source explained. \u201cKevin didn\u2019t want to come across as unauthentic and he would have if he was forced to dodge uncomfortable questions about their working relationship. It seemed like a lose-lose situation for him. It just wasn\u2019t worth it to Kevin.\u201d<\/p>\n As for what\u2019s going on with the second half of season 5<\/a>, the show\u2019s stars have said they don\u2019t even know when filming will start. \u201cI\u2019m planning on getting an update today,\u201d Lainey Wilson<\/strong><\/a>, who plays Abby, told Entertainment Tonight<\/em><\/a> on Sunday. \u201cIt\u2019s wild.\u201d<\/p>\n The country singer, 30, added that her time on the cowboy-centered drama has taught her that the \u201cTV business is even crazier\u201d than the music industry. \u201cLike, just tell me when, man,\u201d she added. \u201cYeah, I have no clue what\u2019s going on. \u2026 I\u2019m waiting on that phone call.\u201d<\/p>\n Moniz, 54, told Us<\/em> last month that she knows Sheridan is writing the new episodes. \u201cI\u2019m along for this ride for as long as it goes. That\u2019s what I can tell you. It\u2019s just been a dream job,\u201d the Betrayal<\/em> alum, who plays Lynelle Perry, explained at PaleyFest, adding that she has \u201cno news\u201d<\/a> about Costner\u2019s future with Yellowstone<\/em>. \u201cWe\u2019re all just, you know, finding out what everyone else is finding out as it\u2019s going. I\u2019m excited to get back to work.\u201d<\/p>\n Her costar Brings Plenty, 53, was similarly circumspect about the drama, telling Us<\/em> that he had \u201cno answers\u201d about Costner\u2019s return or the show\u2019s future. \u201cI don\u2019t even know what\u2019s going on and I just stay in my own lane,\u201d the Hell on Wheels<\/em> veteran said in April. \u201cI have a great deal of respect for Kevin and who he is and what he does and everyone else.
