Travis Kelce<\/strong><\/a> is clarifying the truth behind recent online rumors about himself.<\/p>\n \u201cI gotta make a little statement in the \u2018don\u2019t believe everything you read, kids\u2019 category or nice realm that you see online,\u201d Travis, 35, shared on the Wednesday, April 9, episode of his and Jason Kelce<\/strong>\u2019s \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast<\/a>. \u201cSome false claims were thrown out there that I was doing something in the community that I was not, and I\u2019m not even gonna talk about it specifically. I don\u2019t want to bring any more attention to that whole nonsense and article and all that stuff.<\/p>\n Travis noted that if fans \u201cever want to know exactly what I\u2019m doing in the community, just go to 87running.org<\/a>,\u201d he said of his 87 & Running Foundation. \u201cWe\u2019re always trying to get out there in and get in the Kansas City communities and the Cleveland community,\u201d he continued. \u201cBut this time, I wasn\u2019t doing what was falsely claimed by the social channels or the outlets posting all this A.I. stuff. So, just wanted to set the record straight.\u201d<\/p>\n Though Travis did not specify the false news he was discussing, the Kansas City Chiefs star was recently rumored to have purchased a $3.3 million house in the team\u2019s home city that would serve as temporary housing for homeless youth.<\/p>\n Travis wrapped up the discussion by thanking fans for their support, stating, \u201cAppreciate everybody for always trying to show love.\u201d<\/p>\n The athlete is no stranger to helping kids off the football field. He founded 87 & Running in 2015 to \u201cempower disadvantaged youth to achieve success by providing resources and support to their communities and cultivating their talent in the areas of education, business, athletics, stem, and the arts,\u201d per the organization\u2019s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n So far this year, 87 & Running has given several families free tickets to Monster Jam in Kansas City and Cleveland. The organization\u2019s LEGO Robotics Team at Union Station in Kansas City also competed at a Union Station competition back in January.<\/p>\n \u201cThank you to @monsterjam for sending the @87running truck out to Roxboro Middle School to visit with some of the kids from Cleveland Heights before their show in Cleveland,\u201d the foundation captioned Instagram pics<\/a> of students posing with 87 & Running-themed Monster Jam truck on February 14. \u201cDriver @barimusawwir is a fellow Heights grad!! We will be sending 200 kids with perfect attendance to the event this weekend! @heightsschoolsfoundation,\u201d<\/p>\n Last year, Travis and the foundation teamed up with Rebuilding Together Kansas City to save the home<\/a> of longtime Kansas City resident Gloria White<\/strong>. \u201cI love it here and I even love it more now,\u201d White, who competed at the Olympic trials in the past, gushed in a January 2024 Instagram video<\/a> about the renovation.<\/p>\n Rebuilding Together Kansas City executive director Scott Hickox<\/strong> went on to praise Travis in the clip, telling local news station KSHB 41<\/a>, \u201cFor Travis to care enough, for his foundation to care enough about what\u2019s happening about our city here in Kansas City, this meant the world that he could partner with us on this.\u201d<\/p>\n
