Matthew, who confirmed via Instagram<\/a> on Tuesday, April 1, that Hailey had died \u201cdue to complications from childbirth,\u201d took to the social media platform on Tuesday, April 8, to pay tribute to his late wife.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t have the words to fully express the weight of this loss, but I want to take a moment to honor the most incredible woman\u2014my wife, Hailey \u2764\ufe0f,\u201d he captioned a video<\/a> that featured photos and videos of the couple enjoying happy times together. \u201cI promise to tell Crew all about you\u2014about your spirit, your strength, your kindness, and the incredible adventures we shared. I can\u2019t wait to show him the pictures, to tell him the stories, and to make sure he knows just how amazing his mom was.\u201d<\/p>\n

Matthew\u2019s tribute followed his interview<\/a> with Fox 11 Los Angeles<\/em>, who reported on Wednesday, April 2, that Hailey briefly met her newborn child on March 29, just moments prior to her passing. \u201cShe was able to see him for a split second, and I\u2019m always going to remember that,\u201d Matthew told the outlet. \u201cIt just came upon me so quickly and unexpectedly.\u201d<\/p>\n
