Jimmy Fallon<\/a> about how the band is ready to release new music soon: \u201cI am gonna confirm the rumours are true.\u201d<\/p>\nAdam remained tight-lipped about the finer details, but he offered a few nuggets of information for fans.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cThe rumours are correct. There are details. I cannot divulge all the details.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAdam went on to reveal Maroon 5 will release a new single at the end of April \u2013\u00a0adding: \u201cI\u2019m really excited about it.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nHe also hinted at the release of the full album, which is expected sometime over the summer. <\/p>\n
\nAdam added: \u201cNon-specifically around the summertime\u201d \u2013\u00a0a statement which he followed with an even vaguer update about the band\u2019s plans to tour in the fall. <\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cAnd then, even more non-specifically, there is a tour coming in the fall-ish.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe upcoming Maroon 5 album, which apparently still does not have a confirmed title, will follow in the footsteps of Maroon 5\u2019s previous records, including \u2018Red Pill Blues\u2019 (2014), \u2018Overexposed\u2019 (2012), \u2018Hands All Over\u2019 (2010), \u2018It Won\u2019t Be Soon Before Long\u2019 (2007), and \u2018Songs About Jane\u2019 (2002.)<\/p>\n
\nAdam\u2019s appearance on \u2018The Tonight Show\u2019 came on the heels of his return to \u2018The Voice\u2019, on which he is coaching for the 27th season of the show. <\/p>\n
\nAfter stepping away from the program during season 16, Adam explained why he came back during a junket before the premiere of the latest season of the show.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cI honestly feel like the stars aligned. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt was one of those moments where we started talking about it and it felt right… and it hadn\u2019t felt right until now.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAdam, who had spent nearly nine years on the show, admitted he needed a break from the relentless schedule that came with the job.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cDoing it for so long, so consistently… you can definitely start to get burnt. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cI started to feel like I was kind of getting away from things that matter to me the most, like making music and playing music.\u201d<\/p>\n
