Teen Mom<\/i><\/a><\/span>\u2019s Tyler Baltierra<\/span><\/a><\/strong> and Catelynn Lowell<\/span><\/a><\/strong> aren\u2019t done sharing their adoption story.<\/p>\n

At 16 years old, the former 16 and Pregnant<\/i> stars decided to place their daughter for adoption in hopes of giving her a better life. After documenting her pregnancy for the MTV cameras, the pair\u2019s daughter was adopted by Brandon<\/strong> and Teresa Davis<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As Carly became a teenager, however, both Baltierra and Lowell say they find themselves more distant than ever with their biological daughter and her parents.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe last time I saw Carly was, like, two years ago,\u201d Lowell shared with Us Weekly<\/i><\/span><\/a> in January 2025. \u201cIt\u2019s very hard. At the end of the day, I really just want whatever she wants and whatever that looks like for Carly, that\u2019s all that I want.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tTeen Mom stars Tyler Baltierra and Catelynn Lowell have hit back at critics who claimed they\u2019re \u201cbashing\u201d daughter Carly\u2019s adoptive parents. Lowell, 32, shared an Instagram Story on Tuesday, February 4, originally posted by Baltierra, 33, that defended the pair\u2019s decision to speak openly about the child\u2019s adoptive parents, Brandon and Teresa Davis, in recent [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Although Lowell and Baltierra initially agreed to an \u201copen\u201d adoption with Carly\u2019s adoptive parents \u2014 meaning they could receive photos of and information about her daughter in addition to seeing their daughter in person once a year \u2014 the Teen Mom<\/i> stars claim things began to change over time.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey basically have closed the adoption on us,\u201d Lowell alleged. \u201cThat\u2019s hard. I\u2019ve kind of just jumped into this new place with my adoption to where now I\u2019m speaking to lots of adoptees and I am learning what would\u2019ve helped them, what would\u2019ve benefited them. Now I\u2019m doing a lot of education about that and teaching other people about the statistics of adoptees and if you\u2019re going to make this decision ever in your life, be knowledgeable about what you\u2019re making.\u201d<\/p>\n
