The White Lotu<\/span><\/i>s<\/span><\/a> star <\/span>Walton Goggins<\/b> reflected on his character Rick\u2019s love story with Chelsea, played by <\/span>Aimee Lou Wood<\/b>, following <\/span>the shocking season 3 finale<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n Warning: Spoilers for The White Lotus<\/em> season 3 ahead!<\/strong><\/p>\n After Rick and Chelsea were revealed as two of the victims<\/span><\/a> during the finale on Sunday, April 6, Walton, 53, reflected on their unconventional relationship in a tribute post shared via <\/span>Instagram<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cRick + Chelsea. With the heaviest of hearts \u2026 To me, ours was a love story. It was only ever a love story, hindered by unresolved, childhood trauma. We all have them \u2026 but can we move past them,\u201d he wrote alongside several photos of the duo on the show. \u201cIn the depths of our despair there is always beauty around us. If we can sit with our pain, just sit with it \u2026 not react \u2026 not be defined by it \u2026 It\u2019s there \u2026 the love the world is constantly giving in any given moment is there. Always waiting for us to see it \u2026 Trust me I know.\u201d<\/p>\n Walton\u2019s caption continued with him thanking the show\u2019s creator, Mike White<\/strong>, for his \u201cimagination\u201d and \u201ctender heart,\u201d as well as \u201cfor the privilege of giving us the opportunity to tell it.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThank you Aimee Lou for being my partner \u2026 a journey I will never forget,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n Another costar he thanked was Sam Rockwell<\/strong>, who portrayed Rick\u2019s friend and former associate Frank. \u201cSammy Rock for being the best wing man a fella could ask for. While Rick believed that Jim had killed his father, he got his revenge by shooting him. However, Jim\u2019s death ultimately caused more pain for Rick when he learned that Jim was actually his father. After he initially shot Jim, Rick began a shootout with the hotel\u2019s security, and Chelsea got caught in the crossfire.<\/p>\n As Rick tried to get medical help for Chelsea<\/span><\/a>, Gaitok (<\/span>Tayme Thapthimthong<\/b>) <\/span>killed him while protecting Jim\u2019s wife<\/span><\/a>, Sritala (<\/span>Lek Patravadi<\/b>). After he was shot, Rick and Chelsea fell into a pond and ultimately died together.<\/p>\n Shortly after Walton posted the tribute to his and Aimee Lou\u2019s characters, fans rushed to the comments section to share their reactions to the finale. \u201cI\u2019m devastated,\u201d one person wrote, while another chimed in, \u201cI\u2019m way more than heartbroken right now.
