Just because The Handmaid\u2019s Tale<\/em> <\/a>is ending doesn\u2019t mean every question will be answered in the series finale.<\/p>\n

During a red carpet event on Wednesday, April 2, for the hit Hulu series, creator Bruce Miller<\/strong> teased the show\u2019s last episode<\/a>, exclusively telling Us Weekly<\/em>, \u201cI hope [viewers] have questions when the show ends.\u201d<\/p>\n

Miller noted that Margaret Atwood<\/strong>\u2018s book \u201cis way too complicated to tie up neatly\u201d on screen. \u201cWhen I read the book I had a million questions at the end,\u201d he recalled. \u201cSo I hope if we\u2019re doing justice to the story told in the book, certainly you\u2019ll have questions at the end.\u201d<\/p>\n

Based on Atwood\u2019s novel of the same name, The Handmaid\u2019s Tale<\/em> takes place in a dystopian<\/a> future where low fertility rates have resulted in women being forcefully assigned to men for the sole purpose of bearing children. The Handmaid\u2019s Tale premiered in 2017 and was renewed for six seasons \u2014 but it doesn\u2019t stop there. The fictional universe is expanding with an adaptation of Atwood\u2019s 2019 novel The Testaments<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tHulu After six seasons on Hulu, The Handmaid\u2019s Tale will be wrapping up the story in 2025. Based on Margaret Atwood\u2019s novel of the same name, The Handmaid\u2019s Tale takes place in a dystopian future where low fertility rates have led women to be assigned to men for bearing children. \u201cThere are people who return and the same thing in the Testaments<\/em>. We\u2019re gonna bring characters from The Handmaid\u2019s Tale<\/em> to that world as well,\u201d Miller noted while speaking with Us<\/em>. \u201cSo there are people who show up \u2014 but to tell you who they are will take away all the fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, executive producer Warren Littlefield<\/strong> called The Handmaid\u2019s Tale<\/em>\u2018s finale<\/a> \u201creally satisfying.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLiving in the world of Gilead for our audience is sometimes a tough journey,\u201d he teased to Us<\/em>. \u201cBut I think their patience will be rewarded because this final year is ordinary women doing extraordinary things. The revolution is here and they\u2019re highly effective. There\u2019s joy. Is there still a Gilead? Yeah. But we celebrate what they accomplish and I think it\u2019ll be very satisfying for the audience.\u201d<\/p>\n

Viewers, however, shouldn\u2019t expect to get all their questions<\/a> answered.<\/p>\n
