The White Lotus<\/a><\/em> fans are not the only ones mourning that shocking double murder<\/a> \u2014 and now one of the stars is speaking out about the season 3 love story gone awry.<\/p>\n

Walton Goggins<\/strong> took to Instagram on Sunday, April 6, with a tribute<\/a> after Rick and Chelsea\u2019s (Aimee Lou Wood<\/strong>) onscreen deaths.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the heaviest of hearts \u2026 To me, ours was a love story. It was only ever a love story, hindered by unresolved, childhood trauma,\u201d Goggins, 53, wrote alongside photos of him and Wood, 31. \u201cWe all have them \u2026 but can we move past them.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actor opened up about how he related to Rick<\/a> and Chelsea\u2019s story, adding, \u201cIn the depths of our despair there is always beauty around us. If we can sit with our pain, just sit with it \u2026 not react \u2026 not be defined by it \u2026 It\u2019s there \u2026 the love the world is constantly giving in any given moment is there. Always waiting for us to see it\u2026 Trust me I know.\u201d<\/p>\n

Goggins praised creator Mike White<\/strong> for \u201cyour imagination, your tender heart, for the privilege of giving us the opportunity to tell it.\u201d He also thanked Wood, adding, \u201cFor being my partner \u2026 a journey I will never forget.\u201d<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the message, Goggins offered a shout-out to scene partner Sam Rockwell<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 and the other cast and crew.<\/p>\n

Goggins concluded the post with an Aeschylus quote. \u201c\u2019Even in our sleep, pain which cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, until, in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom through the awful grace of God,’\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

During Sunday\u2019s episode, Rick (Goggins) briefly found peace with his decision not to kill Sritala (Lek Patravadi<\/strong>)\u2019s husband to avenge his late father. He did ultimately murder Jim (Scott Glenn<\/strong>) \u2014 who turned out to be his father and Chelsea (Wood) got stuck in the crossfire.<\/p>\n

Rick tried to get Chelsea medical help but Gaitok (Tayme Thapthimthong<\/strong>) killed him while protecting Sritala. The duo died together in the pond at The White Lotus resort.<\/p>\n
