Matthew Broderick<\/a> \u2013 with whom she has son James, 22, and 15-year-old twins Marion and Tabitha \u2013 29 years ago and she believes not speaking much about her personal life and being under the radar in New York has been key to their long-lasting romance.<\/p>\nAsked the secret to her happy marriage, she told Britain\u2019s HELLO! magazine: \u201cProbably that I don\u2019t talk about it! It really is a secret.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut maybe it\u2019s because we\u2019re not a Hollywood couple. We live in New York \u2013 maybe that\u2019s good.\u201d<\/p>\n
The 60-year-old actress has always felt \u201cinsecure\u201d about her appearance but doesn\u2019t care anymore about what people have to say.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cI\u2019ve always been insecure about my looks, so nothing has changed. But I\u2019m happy. I don\u2019t mind. <\/p>\n
\n“Every day when I leave the house, I have to think twice about how I look.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI know I\u2019m going to run into someone with a camera and have to worry about whether I ant to wear my favourite baggy pants or what my hair looks like.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThough Sarah finds it \u201cflattering\u201d to be regarded as a style icon, she insisted other people\u2019s perceptions have never had much influence on her choices.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cIt\u2019s flattering, but it\u2019s something I don\u2019t really think about.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI do love clothes and fashion, but I don\u2019t go out to be anything other than myself.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cThere\u2019s a time when you\u2019re young when you think a lot about people\u2019s opinions of you, but I\u2019d be at a disadvantage to spend a lot of time thinking about what other people think of me now, good or bad.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt doesn\u2019t allow you to be who you are authentically, for better or sores.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAnd the actress insisted her wardrobe isn\u2019t particularly \u201cfancy\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cI like to wear things that are comfortable and that I like myself in, that fit me well and convey the mood and feeling I want to express.<\/p>\n
\n\u201c[At home] I will probably be in my nightgown for a while and then, if I don\u2019t have to be very presentable, I\u2019ll be wearing jeans or corduroys or a light dress.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cNothing very fancy. Nothing that I care much about, because it\u2019s bound to get dirty.\u201d<\/p>\n
