The behind-the-scenes team at The White Lotus<\/strong><\/a><\/em> has some tricks up their sleeves to keep the season 3 ending a surprise. <\/p>\n Executive producer David Bernad<\/strong><\/a> explained in a recent interview that he and creator Mike White<\/strong><\/a> used a creative technique to deter potential plot leaks. <\/p>\n \u201cWe have fake endings to the scripts. So we wrote up \u2014 we have six different endings \u2014 and we kind of distributed fake endings to people just in case someone leaked anything, and then we could say there\u2019s different fake endings,\u201d he told People<\/a><\/em> in a recent interview. <\/p>\n \u201cAnd then when we shot the ending scene, it\u2019s a locked down set. So no one really has access to what we were shooting and there would be no non-White Lotus<\/em> participants ever seeing what we\u2019re doing,\u201d he added. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n He also discussed a close call when onlookers recorded a shooting on an important scene. <\/p>\n \u201cBut we were shooting at the Four Seasons, a scene with Jon Gries<\/strong><\/a>, and there was people looking and filming from a room. They didn\u2019t know that what they were filming was sensitive, and I was really scared they were going to post it. So I had the hotel manager go and bring them over to the set and I kind of schmoozed them and got them on my side,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n However, the team was resourceful when it came to navigating the situation. <\/p>\n \u201c[We] were like, \u2018We got to make them part of the experience,\u2019 so that I could get them to delete all the footage they had. They unknowingly didn\u2019t realize they were filming something that was very sensitive,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n David<\/strong> also told viewers to buckle up for the season three finale. <\/p>\n \u201cBut it\u2019s all world-building and character-building. The reason people are so invested and are so emotionally moved by it all is because of that world-building and slow build. It\u2019s like a great novel. You got to get people invested and connected, and then the ride begins,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n \u201cPeople only remember the ending.
