TikTok<\/strong><\/a> has seemingly been salvaged once again. <\/p>\n On Friday (April 4), President Donald Trump<\/strong><\/a> announced that he has delayed the app\u2019s impending ban for a second time. Thank you for your attention to this matter!\u201d he later clarified. <\/p>\n Amazon was reportedly previously in the running to buy TikTok, however, the company\u2019s bid apparently came in a few days before the deadline, making it not a serious contender for the deal (per NBC News<\/a>). <\/p>\n While NBC News<\/a> reports that ByteDance has not currently confirmed any plans to sell TikTok to a U.S buyer, Trump<\/strong> is apparently confident in the fate of the app\u2019s US presence. <\/p>\n \u201cWe have a lot of potential buyers. There\u2019s tremendous interest in Tiktok. I\u2019d like to see Tiktok remain alive,\u201d he said to reporters last week, according to Reuters<\/a>. <\/p>\n However, on March 14, Vice President JD Vance<\/strong><\/a> acknowledged the complicated nature of the situation. <\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019d like to get it done without the extension. I think the question is, what is the equity ownership of the new joint venture?
