The <em>Parenthood<\/em> alum was also asked to share Lorelai\u2019s worst quality, but she replied, \u201cThere\u2019s nothing bad about her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lauren starred in The WB\u2019s (later The CW\u2019s) <em>Gilmore Girls<\/em> from 2000 to 2007. She played coffee-obsessed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifeandstylemag.com\/posts\/gilmore-girls-facts-alexis-bledel-lauren-graham-and-more\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">single mother Lorelai<\/a>, who gave birth to daughter Rory (<strong>Alexis Bledel<\/strong>) when she was just 16 years old and fled from her wealthy yet oppressive family, seeking refuge in the small, zany town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut. The series began with Lorelai reconnecting with her parents when she needed to ask for a loan for 15-year-old Rory to begin a new adventure at an elite private school.<\/p>\n<p><em>Gilmore Girls<\/em>, which was created by Amy, 59, received critical acclaim for its witty and fast-paced dialogue, pop culture references and cross-generational appeal. It remains popular to this day, thanks to streaming services like Netflix and Hulu, as new and returning audiences alike continue to watch the show over and over again.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, the continued success of the original series led to a 2016 four-part revival on Netflix titled <em>Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life<\/em>, as well as a December 2024 Walmart commercial in which Lauren reunited with former costars <strong>Sean Gunn<\/strong> (Kirk Gleason) and <strong>Scott Patterson<\/strong> (Luke Danes).<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption alignnone\">\n<div class=\"ratio-based-placeholder\" style=\"padding-bottom:144%;\"><\/div><figcaption class=\"photo-credit\"><span class=\"credit\">Warner Bros.\/Delivered by Online USA<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>While reflecting on her time on <em>Gilmore Girls<\/em>, Lauren opened up to <em>Life &amp; Style<\/em> about her favorite memories from filming the series.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is hard to remember because there were something like 160 or more episodes. I mean, I love all of them, and they don\u2019t stick because they were all just wonderful conversations, and we were just acting or whatever,\u201d she said. \u201cSo it\u2019s just the lightness and the joy that those characters had together is my favorite.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Lauren was asked about the \u201cmagic of Amy,\u201d who is also responsible for hit shows like <em>Bunheads<\/em> and <em>The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel<\/em>. Her newest series, ballet drama <em>\u00c9toile<\/em>, premieres on Amazon Prime Video on April 24.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe writing and the writing. So good and so funny and so smart, and it just is such a specific voice,\u201d Lauren gushed. \u201cIt\u2019s like, if you\u2019re lucky to be in this situation, you know it\u2019s how it was intended. You can hear it in your ear, and that\u2019s the theater. That\u2019s just really rare in TV.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When questioned about the best advice she received from a fellow actor on the show or from Amy, she told <em>Life &amp; Style<\/em>, \u201cFaster. Do it faster.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Days after her appearance at PaleyFest, Lauren appeared on <strong>Alex Cooper<\/strong>\u2019s \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d podcast on Wednesday, April 2, where she dished about how she and Lorelai had many things in common \u2014 including their love of coffee.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was all there,\u201d the <em>Talking as Fast as I Can<\/em> author said. \u201cI mean, it\u2019s in the first episode. Right? She goes and \u2026 demands more coffee, and [Scott\u2019s Luke is] like, \u2018You\u2019ve had enough.\u2019 That was one of the many kind of serendipitous aspects of that part and that time and that character.
