Tan didn\u2019t specify what was classified as core and non-core to the company\u2019s business.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Intel will also launch new products including custom semiconductors for customers, Tan added. But he made no mention of breaking up the company, according to Bloomberg, which was a <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/intel-could-split-rivals-heres-161600625.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">potential turnaround strategy<\/a> floated in recent months.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2025\/03\/12\/intel-appoints-lip-bu-tan-as-its-next-ceo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tan was named Intel\u2019s CEO<\/a> on March 12 and assumed the role on March 18, a little over three months after former <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2024\/12\/02\/intel-ceo-pat-gelsinger-retires\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CEO Pat Gelsinger was forced out<\/a> of the role on December 1.
