The Bachelor<\/span><\/i><\/a> star <\/span>Grant Ellis<\/b><\/a> got his happily ever after when he proposed to <\/span>Juliana Pasquarosa <\/b>during the season 29 finale. While the couple is still going strong today, many fans have called out Grant for choosing Juliana \u2013 who he said was more \u201cfun\u201d \u2013 over runner-up <\/span>Litia Garr<\/b>.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m very serious. But everybody is different in a relationship. Some people are more serious and they don\u2019t like to go out. Some people like to have fun. I think that in a relationship, you can be serious and have the best of both worlds \u2014 that\u2019s what I meant,\u201d Grant, 31, told Us Weekly<\/em><\/a> about his relationship with Juliana, 26, in an interview published on Wednesday, March 26. \u201cOur relationship is a friendship. It\u2019s fun in the fact that we can let loose and be ourselves.\u201d<\/p>\n During the finale episode of Monday, March 24, Grant opened up about his playful dynamic with Juliana while talking to his father, Robert<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s love on both sides, but [it\u2019s hard] deciding what to pick in such a short amount of time when I have a woman [Litia] who\u2019s 31 who knows what she wants and would be there for me no matter what,\u201d Grant said to his father. \u201cAnd I have a woman [Juliana] who also loves me, but our relationship is more fun.\u201d<\/p>\n After fans watched Grant propose to Juliana<\/span><\/a> during the finale, he quickly faced backlash from some viewers who believed he chose the winner because <\/span>he\u2019s not ready to settle down.<\/span><\/a> After all, Litia, 31, had been very open about wanting to have children soon.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s so obvious that Grant chose Juliana because, despite coming on the bachelor, he\u2019s not actually ready for marriage but wants a girlfriend,\u201d one fan chimed in via social media, while another commented, \u201cYou have \u2018a woman who knows what she wants and one who\u2019s [sic] relationship is more fun\u2019 ??? grant you\u2019re not serious \u2026 you don\u2019t want to get married #TheBachelor.\u201d<\/p>\n While speaking to Us Weekly<\/em>, Juliana reiterated that she and Grant have an \u201ceasygoing\u201d relationship.<\/p>\n \u201cJust because I said that doesn\u2019t mean that I\u2019m not serious. I\u2019ve got tattoos, I like to have fun, but I take love very seriously,\u201d he said of his comment that Juliana is \u201cmore fun\u201d than Litia.<\/p>\n Grant also insisted that he did take the process to find his future wife seriously. \u201cI poured my heart out there and that showed, and if people can\u2019t see that, then they\u2019re never gonna see it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n After Grant and Juliana confirmed that they were still together<\/span><\/a> during the <\/span>After the Final Rose<\/span><\/i> special, they <\/span>revealed their plans for a long engagement<\/span><\/a> while speaking to <\/span>People<\/span><\/i><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI think that we are taking it one day at a time,\u201d Grant said in an interview published on Tuesday March 25. \u201cRight now, we are learning each other and we\u2019re falling more in love with each other every day.\u201d<\/p>\n Juliana added that they want to \u201clive life together for a minute<\/a>\u201d before they start wedding planning. \u201cA wedding is a big thing, and there\u2019s so many people we have to meet. I want them all to have an opportunity to see [Grant], see us, and just have it make sense to everybody,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
