Remi Bader<\/strong> recently opened up about her weight loss<\/a> surgery and described her recovery as \u201cthe worst thing of [her] life.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI did the surgery and [the doctor] did tell me \u2013 I can\u2019t blame him because I had a rarer situation,\u201d Remi, 30, told Khlo\u00e9 Kardashian<\/strong> during the March 27 episode of her \u201cKhlo\u00e9 in Wonderland<\/a>\u201d podcast. \u201cI just reacted differently. That\u2019s the point. This is my journey and everyone reacts differently to everything.\u201d<\/p>\n The social media influencer continued, \u201c[The doctor] said I would be out of the hospital in, like, a day, and in five days I could travel and go back to my work schedule. I couldn\u2019t leave the hospital. I couldn\u2019t swallow water; I was, like, projectile vomiting. They don\u2019t let you leave if you can\u2019t drink water.\u201d<\/p>\n Remi added that she was \u201cso sick\u201d and \u201cin recovery for hours\u201d after her SADI-S weight loss surgery<\/a>, and that \u201cwent on for six weeks.\u201d While her doctor admitted that her recovery issues \u201cweren\u2019t normal,\u201d Remi said that made her feel \u201ceven worse\u201d and worry that she shouldn\u2019t have undergone the surgery.<\/p>\n \u201cI ended up going and living with my parents because they were concerned,\u201d Remi said. \u201cI was non stop throwing up and I could not eat. This went on so long that I got in a very scary, like, deep depression. I did not want to live anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n Remi started gaining fame when she shared realistic try-on hauls via different social media platforms, but she began receiving an onslaught of backlash when she admitted to undergoing weight loss surgery. Fans accused her of sidestepping questions regarding how she lost the weight.<\/p>\n \u201cShe kind of made it seem like she was losing weight at the gym and by eating healthier and cutting out alcohol,\u201d an Instagram<\/a> user pointed out. \u201cWho cares if you have weight loss surgery? If everyone could afford it, everyone would do the same. But it\u2019s tiring to see all these influencers or celebrities say that they lost the weight or enhanced their body through the gym only. Like they don\u2019t reveal the surgeries, medications, and training programs alongside it.\u201d<\/p>\n Another person wrote on TikTok<\/a>, \u201cThe part that made people mad is she tried to make it look like she worked out and ate right and then blocked anyone who called her out about it.\u201d<\/p>\n However, Remi fired back at critics and revealed she doesn\u2019t have any regrets about her decision not to share that she had weight loss surgery with her audience right away.<\/p>\n \u201cSharing something so personal again for the first time in a while, I was prepared for both backlash and support in terms of the decisions I had to make related to my health. But at the end of the day no one is changing how proud I am for myself for protecting my mental health and sticking to my boundaries at a time I was so low and so lost. And I will never regret that,\u201d Remi wrote in a lengthy Instagram<\/a> post on March 26.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
