Fran Drescher<\/strong><\/a> is enjoying life these days!<\/p>\n

Drescher, 67, told Page Six<\/em><\/a> in an interview published on Saturday, March 29, that she has \u201ca little rotation\u201d of \u201cfriends with benefits\u201d who keep her company. When the outlet seemed surprised, she added, \u201cI\u2019m Fran Drescher! What do you think?!\u201d<\/p>\n

Drescher went on to explain that part of the reason why she maintains uncommitted romantic relationships is that she and her ex-husband Peter Jacobson<\/strong> are still \u201cvery close.\u201d The pair met when Drescher was 15 and married in 1978. They stayed together until their separation in 1996. They finalized their divorce three years later and Jacobson eventually came out as gay.<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time Drescher has revealed that she maintains a \u201cfriends with benefits\u201d relationship. In 2020, she told Page Six<\/em> the same, adding that, at the time, she saw one person twice a month.<\/p>\n

The actress also revealed to the outlet that the Broadway musical adaptation of her hit series The Nanny<\/em> has been paused. \u201cWe\u2019re going to resurrect it but between the [actors\u2019] strike, my dad passing away [in 2024] and now the Palisades fires, which impacted my house\u2026 there\u2019s only so much I can do,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n

Drescher added that it\u2019s important to be in the right frame of mind to begin the necessary work on the project, and she\u2019s not quite there right now.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t try to hide it,\u201d she continued. \u201cI\u2019m very gentle with myself. I share what I\u2019m going through and I keep it very small with people that I feel very safe with and over time it gets better.\u201d<\/p>\n

In February, Drescher celebrated<\/a> singer Sabrina Carpenter<\/strong> after she channeled Drescher\u2019s character from The Nanny<\/em> ahead of an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert<\/em>. After she was asked if she had seen photos of Carpenter, who wore a Susan by Night for Lilie Robin mini dress adorned with leopard print lapels, Drescher said, \u201cOf course I\u2019m aware of it!\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cI\u2019m very honored and flattered,\u201d noting that she is a fan of Carpenter and her music.<\/p>\n
