Pete Davidson has received an apology<\/p>\n
The 66-year-old comedian recently appeared alongside Pete, 31, on the sit-down talk show, and Luenell has apologised for touching the ‘Saturday Night Live’ star on the programme.<\/p>\n
Luenell – whose real name is Luenell Campbell – said: “I admit, I was tickling Pete\u2019s leg during a segment of ‘Everybody\u2019s Live With John Mulaney\u2019; however, I did not mean to make Pete uncomfortable. I sincerely apologise. It was all done in jest.”<\/p>\n
The comedy star is hopeful that Pete will now forgive her.<\/p>\n
She said: “I hope Pete will forgive me, and I\u2019m still willing to go out on a date with him if he so chooses. And I promise I won\u2019t touch him again unless he wants me to!”<\/p>\n
\nA rep for Luenell has also released a statement, telling PEOPLE: “By no means did my client, Luenell, want to make Mr. Davidson uncomfortable during their respective appearance on ‘Everybody\u2019s Live With John Mulaney.’ She was just being playful.”<\/p>\n
\nDuring the episode, Luenell joked about Pete’s high-profile love life.<\/p>\n
\nThe actor has previously dated the likes of Ariana Grande, Kim Kardashian, Kaia Gerber and Margaret Qualley, and Luenell joked about his “mystique”.<\/p>\n
\nShe tole Pete: “To me, you\u2019re just an average guy. Regular guy, but you continuously pull all these bad b******, right? … So, since I don\u2019t get it, I want to know the mystique.”<\/p>\n
\nLuenell also joked about Pete’s current romance with model Elsie Hewitt.<\/p>\n
\nShe continued: “Now, you’ve had Kim K, several other people, you’ve got this little supermodel right now.”<\/p>\n
\nPete initially laughed off Luenell’s comments, before she made another suggestion.<\/p>\n
\nLuenell said: “What I think, for the research and for women across America, I think that you should take me out.”<\/p>\n
\nPete – who appeared visibly uncomfortable with the conversation – then replied: “If that\u2019s what it takes to stop this, yeah.”<\/p>\n
\nPete previously admitted to being frustrated by the interest in his love life.<\/p>\n
\nThe comedian told the New York Post newspaper’s Page Six column: “It\u2019s embarrassing because you want people to write about your work.”<\/p>\n
