All aboard the Hogwarts express! Over the course of 10 years, the stars of Harry Potter<\/em> <\/a>brought magic, mischief and more to millions of fans around the world.<\/p>\n Based on the series of seven books by J.K. Rowling<\/strong><\/a>, stars Daniel Radcliffe<\/strong><\/a>, Emma Watson<\/strong><\/a> and Rupert Grint<\/strong><\/a> captured the hearts of viewers between 2001 and 2011. The eight movies raked in more than $7.5 billion worldwide, making it the third-highest-grossing film franchise of all time<\/a> behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Star Wars<\/em>. Though their time at Hogwarts has come to an end, the power trio will always cherish the years they spent together.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are all very busy, off doing different things and rarely seem to cross [paths],\u201d Radcliffe said during a Q&A with Heat Radio<\/a> in August 2019. \u201cBut you know, there is always this thing and this experience that will forever bond us. We\u2019ll certainly always have that.\u201d<\/p>\n The Hogwarts students grew up in the spotlight, which didn\u2019t come without its challenges. In the December 2019 cover story of British Vogue<\/em><\/a>, Watson opened up about struggling to separate her time as Hermione Granger<\/a> from her own identity.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s so bizarre and otherworldly, what happened to me,\u201d she told the publication at the time. \u201cThere\u2019s been moments when everything just got so big, where I almost had vertigo on my own life and it\u2019s got so big I felt disconnected. \u2026 There\u2019s a whole existence and identity that I have, actually, that\u2019s really important and weighted and solid that has nothing to do with any of that.\u201d<\/p>\n Though each of the franchise\u2019s stars has taken their careers in new directions since the final movie hit theaters, they still have plenty of love for one another. Bonnie Wright<\/strong><\/a>, who played Ginny Weasley throughout the series, gushed over her colleagues while speaking to Us Weekly<\/em> exclusively<\/a> in February 2020.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s amazing,\u201d she said of the moments she\u2019s shared with her cast members<\/a> over the years, both on and off screen. \u201cVery powerful.\u201d<\/p>\n Evanna Lynch<\/strong><\/a>, who played Luna Lovegood throughout several of the films, fondly recalled her first on-set memories.<\/p>\n \u201cI really liked the scene in the woods with the festivals because that was one of my first ones and it was on location. So it was big and sort of an adventure. And we were all in this very peaceful, beautiful woods together. And it\u2019s just a quiet moment between the characters,\u201d Lynch told Us<\/em> in June 2021<\/a>. \u201cAnd I think up until that point, Harry\u2019s been sort of seeing her as this odd [person] to avoid. And then they have this moment and I think he sees, \u2018Oh, there\u2019s more to her. She has all this depth. And she\u2019s actually been through some quite well, very sad things in her life.\u2019 And that\u2019s when their relationship and their friendship develops. I love that scene.\u201d<\/p>\n The franchise\u2019s cast reunited for a retrospective special<\/a> to celebrate the 20th anniversary of\u00a0Harry Potter and the Sorcerer\u2019s Stone<\/i>, which aired in January 2022, on HBO Max.
