Warning: Spoilers ahead for<\/em> season three of<\/em> The White Lotus<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m gonna help you get your joy back, even if it kills me,\u201d Aimee Lou Wood<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s happy-go-lucky Chelsea promises her older, far grumpier boyfriend Rick (Walton Goggins<\/strong>) in the White Lotus<\/em> season three<\/a> premiere. It\u2019s a throwaway line, but worth noting in series creator Mike White\u2019s<\/strong> new Thailand-set season\u2014especially when we have an inkling of how the season will end.<\/p>\n

More than halfway into the doomed getaway, viewers know that the tranquil wellness center will eventually erupt into gunfire. Zion (Nicholas Duvernay<\/strong>), son of visiting spa center manager Belinda (a returning Natasha Rothwell<\/strong><\/a>), is the only cast member we know will be safe from the violence (as it begins, anyway). We don\u2019t know who is pointing the weapon, and which unlucky vacationers will check out of the resort in a body bag.<\/p>\n

As we did in Italy,<\/a> Vanity Fair<\/em> will be on the hunt for all White Lotus<\/em> callbacks to seasons past, as well as potential clues about who could be this season\u2019s killer or victim(s). Episode 6: Denials<\/strong><\/h2>\n

New Lease on Life<\/p>\n

At the beginning of the sixth episode, we see Jason Isaacs<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s Timothy point the gun that he stole from hotel security to his head, killing himself. But in reality, he\u2019s just imagining going through with it\u2014and the thought of his wife, Victoria, and daughter, Piper (Sarah Catherine Hook<\/strong>), finding his body makes Timothy think twice. Instead of pulling the trigger, he stows the weapon away, pops some trusty lorazepams, and goes to bed. Later, Timothy dreams of killing himself and then Victoria after she tells him she wouldn\u2019t want to live as a poor person at her age.<\/p>\n

While the Ratliffs are away from their suite visiting the monastery where Piper plans to spend the next year, security guard Gaitok (Tayme Thapthimthong<\/strong>) steals back his gun, and\u2014unlike the White Lotus employee who attempted to steal from guests in season one\u2014he goes undetected. But disturbing dreams coupled with a missing firearm spell doom for next week\u2019s episode.<\/p>\n
