Anna Faris has praised her son and her step-kids for being strong after losing their home<\/p>\n
The 48-year-old actress and her husband Michael Barrett were left devastated after their property was destroyed in the California wildfires earlier this year and Anna has admitted her 12-year-old son Jack – from her previous marriage to Chris Pratt – and her step-kids have been incredibly brave and only really want to have their games consoles replaced.<\/p>\n
She told The Hollywood Reporter: “It really does force a day-by-day mentality. I\u2019m really grateful for so much support. Sometimes I get pangs of emotion when I remember that I lost a specific thing that I really loved but I try to remember that it\u2019s just a thing. <\/p>\n
“My heart really goes out to a lot of my older neighbors. I\u2019m lucky for a whole lot of reasons. I\u2019m really lucky that my step-kids and my son have handled it like champs. They really have been incredibly strong, and they just want their gaming systems replaced.<\/p>\n
“I\u2019m learning that it\u2019s a learning curve. I\u2019m still digesting it all.”<\/p>\n
\nAnna went on to admit she still feels sad about losing some irreplaceable sentimental items, but she’s trying to stay positive and move forward.<\/p>\n
\nShe added: “There\u2019s things that I lost, like my grandfather\u2019s paintings or [her film] ‘House Bunny’ memorabilia, that had sentimental value. But at the same time, it\u2019s stuff that I didn\u2019t look at all that much. That may sound trite but it\u2019s not …”<\/p>\n
\nAnna went on to say: “I do think in a year from now I will feel differently, especially when people have moved on and started to forget while we\u2019re still dealing with rebuilding or toxic soil or whatever the issues may be. <\/p>\n
\n“That might get pretty tricky, too. People will have moved on while we\u2019re stuck in the minutiae of the [practicalities and logistics]. I\u2019m going to reflect more on this but what I can say is that it remains a day-by-day digestion for me.”<\/p>\n
