Days of Our Lives<\/strong><\/a><\/em> continues to keep us guessing, and there\u2019s just been another huge shakeup with the cast.<\/p>\n The long-running Peacock<\/strong><\/a> soap opera TV series is saying goodbye to not one, but two legacy characters.<\/p>\n During the most recent episodes, Joy quit her new job at Titan, packed her bags and said goodbye, rather than admitting she was pregnant with Alex\u2019s child. She called her mom and told her she\u2019d be coming home to New York.<\/p>\n TV Insider<\/a><\/em> confirmed that Joy actor AlexAnn Hopkins<\/strong><\/a> is truly leaving the show. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n A show spokesperson said in a statement: \u201cWe enjoyed having AlexAnn<\/strong> bring the character of Joy to life, it was a short yet important story arc, and we hope the fans enjoyed watching it unfold.\u201d<\/p>\n The Criminal Minds<\/em> and Chicago P.D.<\/em> star made her first appearance on Days<\/em> on October 22, 2024, as Joy, the daughter of Nancy Wesley (Patrika Darbo<\/strong><\/a>) and Dr. Craig Wesley (Kevin Spirtas<\/strong><\/a>). <\/p>\n The character of Joy was born on-screen in 2003 when Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin<\/strong><\/a>), Craig and Nancy\u2019s other daughter, was diagnosed with leukemia and needed a bone marrow transplant. Joy was a match and saved her sister\u2019s life. <\/p>\n Joy (Aisling Acuna<\/strong><\/a>) was a flower girl at Chloe\u2019s wedding to Brady Black (Kyle Lowder<\/strong><\/a>) in 2005, then left town with her parents and wasn\u2019t seen again until last year, per TV Insider<\/em>.<\/p>\n Alex Kiriakis actor Robert Scott Wilson<\/strong><\/a> addressed the exit.<\/p>\n \u201cAlexAnn<\/strong> was really, really great,\u201d he said to Soap Opera Digest<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cThe amount [of material] that we did have together, I think she really showed up and always did really great work.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m sure they\u2019ll do something with her and myself in the future at some point down the line,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n \u201cA sign of any good actor.
