Meghan Markle<\/strong><\/a> is making professional moves following her and Prince Harry<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s step back from the royal spotlight.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are honored to announce that WME now represents Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex in all areas,\u201d read a tweet shared via the talent agency\u2019s account<\/a> on Thursday, April 27, alongside a photo of the 41-year-old Suits<\/em> alum.<\/p>\n Variety<\/em><\/a> reported on Thursday that Meghan signed a deal with WME. Her team includes Jill Smoller<\/strong>, the longtime agent of the duchess\u2019 close friend Serena Williams<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n WME will reportedly take over representation<\/a> for Meghan and Harry\u2019s company Archewell Productions, which they founded in 2020 \u201cto produce programming that informs, elevates, and inspires.\u201d The pair have worked with Netflix<\/a> to develop both scripted and unscripted projects, including their 2022 docuseries<\/a>, Harry & Meghan.<\/em><\/p>\n While film and television production will be one area of Meghan\u2019s WME partnership, fans likely won\u2019t see her returning to her TV roots. Acting will not be a focus, according to Variety<\/em>.<\/p>\n The Bench<\/em> author and her husband, 38, moved to California in 2020<\/a> after stepping down from their roles as senior working royals. The couple are raising son Archie<\/a>, 3, and daughter Lilibet<\/a>, 22 months, in the U.S. and have been candid about their experience overseas<\/a> before and after making their royal exit permanent<\/a> in 2021.<\/p>\n Meghan reflected on her Hollywood career<\/a> in a Variety<\/em> cover story published in October 2022, hinting that she\u2019s \u201cdone\u201d acting for now<\/a>. \u201cI guess never say never, but my intention is to absolutely not [again],\u201d she said at the time, confessing that she \u201cdidn\u2019t think [she\u2019d] ever be in the entertainment industry again\u201d before starting Archewell.<\/p>\n Despite her own hesitations toward getting back on camera<\/a>, Meghan said she wouldn\u2019t be opposed if Archie or Lili ever caught the acting bug. \u201cI would say, \u2018Great!’\u201d she told the outlet. \u201cWhen you become a parent, you genuinely want your kids to find the things that bring them complete joy. They\u2019re our kids, obviously, and they\u2019re part of a legacy and a tradition and a family that will have other expectations. But I want them to be able to carve out their own path. If it\u2019s the entertainment industry, great. And also, good luck.\u201d<\/p>\n She continued: \u201cThere are so many people that will talk about what opened the door for my children. But it still takes talent and a lot of grit. We\u2019re creating multidimensional, interesting, kind, creative people.
