The details around the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy<\/a> have long been a mystery, but one thing that\u2019s abundantly clear is how his grandson, commentator Jack Schlossberg<\/strong>, feels about Donald Trump<\/strong> unsealing records around the event, which he said he and the extended Kennedy family were not warned about\u2014with one notable exception.<\/p>\n In a series of tweets on Wednesday morning<\/a>, Schlossberg tore into what he characterized as political theater from Trump.<\/p>\n \u201cPresident Trump is obsessed with my grandfather\u2014but not in his life or what he achieved in it,\u201d Schlossberg wrote. \u201cNo, just like @robertfkennedyjr @realdonaldtrump is only interested in JFK\u2019s carcass.\u201d<\/p>\n The one descendant who was<\/em> in the know, he claimed on social media, was his cousin, Trump cabinet member Robert F. Kennedy Jr.<\/strong><\/p>\n On Tuesday evening, Schlossberg wrote on X<\/a> (formerly Twitter) that the document drop was \u201ca total surprise, and not shocker!!\u201d He continued, \u201cBut @RobertKennedyJr definitely knew.\u201d<\/p>\n Schlossberg has been clear about his opinion of the current Secretary of Health and Human Services-slash-MAHA Czar: Doesn\u2019t like the guy<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve listened to him. I know him,\u201d he said in a video posted to Instagram in July 2023<\/a>, while Kennedy was still a presidential hopeful. \u201cI have no idea why anyone thinks he should be president.\u201d His mother, Caroline Kennedy<\/strong>, also spoke out<\/a> ahead of the election, along with other members of the family.<\/p>\n Schlossberg\u2019s Wednesday missives grouped Secretary Kennedy in with Trump, listing off JFK\u2019s achievements in areas like civil rights, foreign aid, funding for the arts, and not being best buddies with Russia, contrasted with the Trump administration\u2019s efforts to reverse that legacy.<\/p>\n \u201cThese men are stealing history from present and future generations\u2014by appropriating the past for their criminal agenda, they normalize themselves in the minds of those without living memory,\u201d Schlossberg wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n The National Archives and Records Administration will post the newly declassified files to its website<\/a> as they are digitized. The first new additions to the trove were posted Tuesday.<\/p>\n Schlossberg, who is a contributor to Vogue<\/em>, which, like Vanity Fair,<\/em> is owned by Conde Nast, declined to comment further to VF<\/em>, referring to his previous statements.<\/p>\n Robert F.
