Pawn Stars <\/i>personality Rick Harrison<\/strong> is reflecting on the death of his son, Adam<\/strong>, at the age of 39.<\/span><\/p>\n Adam died from a fentanyl overdose<\/span><\/a> in January 2024. Harrison, 59, addressed the tragedy in an episode of the interview series \u201cIn Depth With Graham Bensinger<\/span><\/a>\u201d that was released via YouTube on Wednesday, March 20.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI think about him every day,\u201d Harrison said of his son. \u201cIn his 20s, he had drug problems. I mean, God, I put him in rehab so many times and every time he\u2019d be doing great, and then he would just fall back. I mean, you\u2019ve heard the same story from a million people, and it got really, really bad, and apparently it wasn\u2019t heroin he got \u2014 he ended up getting some Fentanyl. It killed him.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Adam is survived by his parents, Harrison and ex-wife Kim<\/strong>, his brothers, Corey<\/strong> and Jake<\/strong>, and his three daughters. In the aftermath of the fatal overdose, Harrison \u2014\u00a0who rose to fame as the creator and star of the History Channel\u2019s Pawn Stars<\/i> \u2014\u00a0has experienced regrets and what-ifs.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThe thing is, when you lose a kid, you second guess f\u2014ing everything,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s like, \u2018Could I have done this? Could I have done this? Could I have done this? Could I have done this?\u2019 And it\u2019s like it goes through your brain constantly. There\u2019s not a day I don\u2019t [think] about him.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Harrison continued, \u201cI mean, I think I did everything right. You just sit in your head, \u2018What if I did this? What if I did this?\u2019 You know what I mean? What if I just grabbed him, f\u2014ing locked him in the back of my truck, drove him to Oregon and put him over to where he couldn\u2019t get [drugs]? I mean, you have a hundred things go through your mind. There is nothing worse than losing a kid.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Harrison revealed that Adam had once broken into his home.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI figured maybe if we put him in jail for two months it\u2019ll clean him out, but he just went straight back on it,\u201d he told interviewer Graham Bensinger<\/strong>. \u201cYou try to give him tough love but, God, you just never see the OD coming. You want to give them tough love and everything but I never thought that would happen.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n He added: \u201cIt\u2019s hard. There\u2019s no instruction book with kids. They\u2019re all different models.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Harrison, the owner of the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas, said he\u2019s since learned to \u201cappreciate what you got, because \u2026 you\u2019re not always going to have it,\u201d he shared. \u201cI spend as much time with my kids as I can. I talk to all my kids on the phone almost every day. I love my kids, love my grandkids. You enjoy life. I mean, I literally know guys that\u2019ve got 10 times as much money as me, and I do all right, that are miserable.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
