Also beginning life as a university student is Kate Middleton from Berkshire. As the pair meet for the first time on campus, a new romance and a new future for\u00a0<em>The Crown<\/em> begins.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">In addition to royal romance, new episodes will portray\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/hollywood\/2022\/10\/how-the-crown-will-handle-princess-diana-death\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Diana\u2019s tragic 1997 death<\/a>, as well as other key historical events that may include 9\/11; the queen\u2019s Golden Jubilee, celebrating her 50 years on the throne; and the deaths of Princess Margaret and the Queen Mum in 2002.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">Returning royal family cast members include\u00a0<strong>Imelda Staunton<\/strong> as Queen Elizabeth,\u00a0<strong>Jonathan Pryce<\/strong> as Prince Phillip,\u00a0<strong>Elizabeth Debicki<\/strong> as Princess Diana,\u00a0<strong>Dominic West<\/strong> as\u00a0<strong>Prince Charles<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Olivia Williams<\/strong> as\u00a0<strong>Camilla Parker-Bowles<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Claudia Harrison<\/strong>\u00a0as\u00a0<strong>Princess Anne<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Lesley Manville<\/strong> as Princess Margaret. Joining the ensemble are\u00a0<strong>Bertie Carvel<\/strong>\u00a0as Prime Minister\u00a0<strong>Tony Blair<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Salim Daw<\/strong>\u00a0as\u00a0<strong>Mohamed Al Fayed<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Khalid Abdalla<\/strong> as Dodi Fayed, who was dating Princess Diana and died with her in that fatal Paris crash.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">The final season will also chronicle much of Prince William and\u00a0<strong>Prince Harry<\/strong>\u2019s adolescence.\u00a0<strong>Luther Ford<\/strong>\u00a0will play the adult iteration of Harry, while\u00a0<strong>Flynn Edwards<\/strong>\u00a0has been cast as the younger version. Meanwhile,\u00a0<strong>Rufus Kampa<\/strong>\u00a0will take on Prince William in earlier episodes.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\"><em>The Crown<\/em>\u2019s final season will be released following a consequential year for the monarchy, including the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/style\/2023\/04\/king-charles-coronation-problems\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">coronation of Prince Charles<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/style\/2023\/01\/spare-leaks-and-the-william-harry-narrative\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Harry\u2019s scorched-earth memoir\u00a0<em>Spare<\/em><\/a> and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/style\/2022\/09\/queen-elizabeth-ii-obituary\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">death of Queen Elizabeth II<\/a>.
