According to TMZ, Kardashian, 44, is seriously debating taking West, 47 \u2013\u00a0who now goes by Ye \u2013\u00a0to court to request a judge strip him of joint legal custody. <\/p>\n
The former couple, who married in 2014, settled their divorce in 2022, agreeing to joint physical and legal custody of their four children: North, 11, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and five-year-old Psalm.<\/p>\n
Physical custody is reportedly not an issue, as Kanye rarely sees his children, and Kim still wants them to have a good relationship with their father. <\/p>\n
However, decision-making regarding the children has become a point of contention, TMZ\u2019s report said.<\/p>\n
\nThe former couple\u2019s divorce agreement states they must attend a private hearing with a judge if conflicts arise regarding their children.<\/p>\n
\nKim requested an emergency hearing with their lawyers, a mediator, and a judge after learning Kanye planned to release a song featuring North and rapper Sean \u2018Diddy\u2019 Combs. <\/p>\n
\nAlthough Kanye skipped the meeting, he reportedly agreed not to release the track, titled \u2018Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine\u2019.<\/p>\n
\nHowever, the rapper released the song on X the following day, declaring men \u201cmake the final decision\u201d. He also shared a text exchange with Kim, in which she opposed their daughter\u2019s involvement with Combs, who is currently facing legal issues.<\/p>\n
\nKim apparently texted Kanye: \u201cI asked you at the time if I can trademark her name. You said yes. When she\u2019s 18, it goes to her. So stop. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cI sent paperwork over so she wouldn\u2019t be in the Diddy song to protect her.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nKanye responded by asking Kim to \u201camend\u201d the legal papers or risk \u201cgoing to war\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nHe added: \u201cAnd neither of us will recover from the public fallout. You\u2019re going to have to kill me.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nKanye later posted a lengthy rant on X, accusing the \u201cKardashian mob\u201d of restricting his parental rights and likening their custody arrangement to \u201cvisitation\u201d in \u201cjail\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nAn insider told Page Six: \u201cKim\u2019s priority is the well-being and safety of her children and to protect them from being around Kanye\u2019s controversial behavior.\u201d<\/p>\n
