Jax Taylor<\/strong><\/a> knows the exact moment Vanderpump Rules<\/em><\/a> producers decided his time on the show was over.<\/p>\n

During the Thursday, March 13, episode of his \u201cIn The Mind of a Man\u201d podcast<\/a>, Taylor, 45, and executive producer Alex Baskin<\/strong> discussed his tumultuous final season on Vanderpump Rules.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI think my final demise \u2014 which put the nail in the coffin for me \u2014 is towards the end. Obviously everybody who\u2019s watched the show has always noticed that towards the end I would have a lot of diva moments where I\u2019m like, \u2018I\u2019m done, I\u2019m moving to Florida,’\u201d he recalled. \u201cI was just heated. There was a lot of arguing and fighting going on as per usual.\u201d<\/p>\n

Taylor recalled a specific scene he caused<\/a> issues over, adding, \u201cThey wanted us to film at the beach, which was in Malibu. We all live in Hollywood. So I said that we can do the same scene at a park in West Hollywood. Like, why do we need to go to rush hour to get to Malibu to shoot a five-minute scene, which is going to take two hours to get there?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tWhile some things never change, the cast of Vanderpump Rules is used to a shake-up \u2026 and a touch-up. Vanderpump Rules was introduced to Bravo viewers during a special episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in January 2013. Season 1 starred Lisa Vanderpump, who was a Beverly Hills Housewife at the time, Stassi [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

While reflecting on the issue, Taylor acknowledged he was \u201cmicromanaging\u201d<\/a> production.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was pulling a diva moment by saying, \u2018I\u2019m not going to the beach. We could literally get the same exact conversation that we\u2019re trying to get at the park across the street.\u2019 They wanted us to go to the beach and help clean \u2014 which is fine \u2014 but I just was not f\u2014ing doing it,\u201d he continued. \u201cI was not going to drive three hours and that\u2019s when I needed a piece of humble pie.\u201d<\/p>\n

Taylor told Baskin that was the moment Bravo probably \u201chad enough\u201d of him. Baskin, however, pointed out a detail from the story that Taylor missed. According to the producer, Taylor didn\u2019t just refuse to film, he \u201d was telling other people not to go\u201d as well.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s what it was. So because that\u2019s what got to us,is you were being a pain in the ass about it and you were saying, \u2018I\u2019m not going to go, this is so stupid.\u2019 Then you were texting other people,\u201d Baskin revealed. \u201cSo then of course, we saw those texts and were like, \u2018Can you believe Jax is sabotaging the production?’\u201d<\/p>\n

Taylor was an OG cast member<\/a> when Vanderpump Rules<\/em> premiered in 2013. He remained on the show until his surprising exit alongside then-wife Brittany Cartwright<\/strong> in 2020.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe last 8 years on Vanderpump Rules<\/em> have been some of the most challenging, rewarding and fulfilling years of my life,\u201d he wrote in a statement shared via Instagram at the time. \u201cAlthough this is difficult to share, Brittany and I will not be returning for another season of Vanderpump Rules<\/em>. We are excited to take this time to focus on our growing family and share with you our new endeavors. @bravotv, @evolutionusa and our Vanderpump castmates will always remain close to our hearts. Thank you to all the fans who have shared our journey with us and supported us through everything. We love you.\u201d<\/p>\n
