While Taylor Haag<\/strong> and Daniel Hastings<\/strong> proved to Us that love is real (and blind), they probably wouldn\u2019t have gotten together<\/a> without the Netflix show.<\/p>\n

\u201cI never dated someone younger than me and Daniel never dated someone older than him,\u201d Taylor, 33, said on the Wednesday, March 12, episode of the \u201cWhat\u2019s the Reality\u201d podcast<\/a>. \u201cI am, in fact, older than him. So, on dating apps, I don\u2019t know if we ever really would have matched because we had our ranges set at different times or different ages.\u201d<\/p>\n

Taylor and Daniel, 30, only have a three-year age gap<\/a>, but the nurse previously never considered going out with anyone significantly younger than she is.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnytime I did try and date someone younger, I was like, \u2018This is why I don\u2019t do it,\u2019 \u2018cause I was just proved right every time,\u201d Taylor admitted, citing a lack of maturity on their end.<\/p>\n

Daniel, for his part, would have also swiped left<\/a> on Taylor just based on her age.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was an immediate, like, \u2018Ah, I\u2019ll just look for someone my age,\u2019\u201d he said. \u201cYou just wouldn\u2019t even give it a chance, so how cool is this type of experiment where that is not the most important thing?\u201d<\/p>\n

Taylor and Daniel met \u2014 and fell in love \u2014 sight unseen on Love Is Blind<\/i><\/a>, which was filmed in Minneapolis in spring 2024 and aired on Netflix one year later. Before Daniel popped the question and they came face-to-face, he and Taylor bonded over shared values and a mutual love of Christmas. Taylor was also intrigued that Daniel didn\u2019t act his age.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tTaylor Haag nearly walked away from the Love Is Blind season 8 pods long before Daniel Hastings ever proposed. \u201cI almost went home \u2014 I lost my voice for three days straight and I was so frustrated,\u201d Taylor, 32, told Entertainment Weekly in an interview published on Wednesday, February 19. \u201cMy voice is all I [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cHe is far mature,\u201d she gushed to podcast host and fellow LiB <\/i>alum AD Smith<\/strong> on Wednesday\u2019s episode.<\/p>\n

Taylor and Daniel\u2019s romance hit a snag \u2014 albeit briefly \u2014 when she thought he recognized her<\/a> when they met in person. Taylor claimed that Daniel had attempted to follow her on social media before the experiment, which he denied. Since then, they were able to move past any drama.<\/p>\n

Taylor and Daniel were, ultimately, the only couple to tie the knot during season 8.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo say that it\u2019s been a wild ride would be quite the understatement,\u201d Daniel said in his wedding vows. \u201cIt\u2019s crazy to think that just five weeks ago to the day, I was getting on a knee after our first date. I fell in love with you because \u2026 the way that you process things, the way that you think about things, the way that we instantly became best friends, the way that I can see you being plugged into my life as the mother of my children and as my wife for the rest of my life. Like, this is it. I can see it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Coming up on their first anniversary<\/a>, Taylor and Daniel are now looking forward to even more milestones.<\/p>\n
