Madison LeCroy<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about her husband Brett Randle<\/strong>\u2019s cancer battle in season 10 of Southern Charm<\/em>.<\/p>\n Brett, 38, was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2023, but his illness wasn\u2019t revealed to fans until season 10 of Southern Charm<\/em>, which debuted on Bravo in December 2024.<\/p>\n Madison, 34, and Brett tied the knot<\/a> in November 2022. The couple announced in February 2025 that Madison was pregnant<\/a> with her second child, her first with Brett. (Madison already shares 12-year-old son Hudson with ex John Hughes<\/strong>.)<\/p>\n While Brett\u2019s cancer diagnosis was revealed in season 10<\/a>, Madison exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em><\/a> that the couple had experienced an \u201cemotional year,\u201d compounded with the death of her father and \u201cdealing with her husband.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s a few bumps in the road, but we come out on top,\u201d she said at the time. \u201cI don\u2019t want to give too much away, but it\u2019s really \u2014 it\u2019s an emotional year for us.\u201d<\/p>\n Keep reading for everything Madison has said about her husband\u2019s cancer diagnosis:<\/p>\n Madison revealed Brett\u2019s cancer diagnosis during a December 12 episode of Southern Charm<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cUnfortunately, Brett was diagnosed with thyroid cancer<\/a> toward the end of last year. Around our one-year wedding anniversary,\u201d she said, confirming he got sick in fall 2023. \u201cI thought, \u2018Like, how? I\u2019m finally happy.\u2019 And it\u2019s just scary.\u201d<\/p>\n During the episode, the reality star explained her husband had undergone surgery to remove a \u201cthree-centimeter nodule\u201d but was \u201cnow having complications.\u201d She said at the time, \u201cI feel like we can\u2019t catch a f\u2014ing break.\u201d<\/p>\n Madison also acknowledged how Brett\u2019s illness had impacted her son. \u201cI told Hudson [that] Brett was sick, but I didn\u2019t go into detail about what cancer can do to someone,\u201d she said in a confessional. \u201cI try not to let Hudson see me emotional because I have to be strong for my family.\u201d<\/p>\n Madison revealed more information about Brett\u2019s diagnosis during a phone call to her mother on a January 9 episode.<\/p>\n \u201cSo, he did some blood work and it didn\u2019t come back normal. And they found a tumor on his kidney,\u201d she said at the time, per Bravo<\/a>. \u201cWe don\u2019t know what it is, but it\u2019s still\u2026I didn\u2019t start crying or anything. But if I lost him I would die. I just kind of, I don\u2019t know. I don\u2019t know what to do.\u201d Madison\u2019s father, Ted LeCroy<\/strong>, had passed away<\/a> from cancer in 2023.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is definitely the worst year of my life,\u201d she said during a confessional. \u201cFor sure. \u2018Cause my dad was diagnosed with cancer, too, but he didn\u2019t last. This is life, I guess. I just f\u2014ing hate it. I f\u2014ing hate it.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cBrett\u2019s test came back and no cancer,\u201d Madison said during a March 13 episode. \u201cIt was just an abnormal tissue. So now they\u2019re going to run the test and make sure everything\u2019s working properly, and the kidneys are doing good, but what a relief.\u201d<\/p>\n During a confessional interview, Madison explained, \u201cI feel like I\u2019ve definitely been holding my breath so long that I don\u2019t know how to breathe. I feel like once you experience something like this, you\u2019re always gonna have worry.
