Taylor and Daniel fell in love sight unseen<\/a> when the Netflix pods arrived in Minneapolis in spring 2024 and the show aired one year later. After an effortless connection in the pods, the duo walked down the aisle and ultimately said \u201cI do\u201d in the season finale \u2014 and remain blissfully in love.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo say that it\u2019s been a wild ride would be quite the understatement,\u201d Daniel told Taylor in his wedding vows. \u201cIt\u2019s crazy to think that just five weeks ago to the day, I was getting on a knee after our first date. I fell in love with you because \u2026 the way that you process things, the way that you think about things, the way that we instantly became best friends, the way that I can see you being plugged into my life as the mother of my children and as my wife for the rest of my life. Like, this is it. I can see it.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cWhen we were dating in the pods, you can\u2019t see it, you can just imagine it. And then I see you, and that\u2019s what I see. \n\t\t\tTaylor Haag nearly walked away from the Love Is Blind season 8 pods long before Daniel Hastings ever proposed. \u201cI almost went home \u2014 I lost my voice for three days straight and I was so frustrated,\u201d Taylor, 32, told Entertainment Weekly in an interview published on Wednesday, February 19. \u201cMy voice is all I [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

An Instant Pod Bond<\/b><\/h3>\n

Taylor and Daniel were one of each other\u2019s very first dates in the pods<\/a>, where she jokingly asked him to get down on a knee. After he stood back up, the duo bonded over their values and shared love of the Christmas holiday.<\/p>\n

Despite an instantaneous connection, Taylor nearly gave up her public search for love when she felt sick during filming.<\/p>\n

\u201cI almost went home \u2014 I lost my voice for three days straight and I was so frustrated,\u201d she told Entertainment Weekly <\/i><\/a>in February 2025. \u201cMy voice is all I have here and I\u2019m fighting to get words out. I wasn\u2019t really interacting with the girls in the lounge because I was trying to rest to get [my voice] back as fast as possible, so I felt like I was missing out on those interactions.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cI had started putting things in my bag. I was like, \u2018If I don\u2019t have a voice tomorrow, I am going to go home,\u2019 and it came back.\u201d<\/p>\n

With the return of her voice, Taylor was able to continue getting to know Daniel, who ultimately proposed at the end of the 10-day pod experiment.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cHonestly, I\u2019ve enjoyed being your boyfriend for the last two days \u2014 but I\u2019m kind of ready for you to be my fianc\u00e9e,\u201d he asked. \u201cSo, I\u2019m not going to spend any more time, I\u2019m just gonna get on my knee. I\u2019m on my knee again, full circle. My sweet Taylor, will you marry me?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s funny because that was one of those moments \u2014 we always tend to agree, but then when we do disagree, we agree to disagree. And I was like, \u2018I understand what she\u2019s saying.\u2019 And [my husband Nick\u2019s] like, \u2018I don\u2019t think it\u2019s that big of a deal,\u2019\u201d cohost Vanessa Lachey<\/strong> exclusively told Us Weekly <\/i><\/a>about the pair\u2019s first argument. \u201cThat\u2019s the beauty of the show is that water cooler talk.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cIf somebody is following you and does know a lot about you, is that fair? \u201cDaniel is my very best friend, like, we are laughing the whole time, which I think that was shown quite a bit,\u201d Taylor said during the tell-all. \u201cWe just have so much fun together and I\u2019m authentically myself and he accepts [that] I\u2019m super goofy. He takes it at face value and laughs with me, which is priceless.\u201d<\/p>\n

Daniel, meanwhile, made their love a bit more permanent and got a rendering of Taylor\u2019s eyes inked on his chest.<\/p>\n
