Kristin Davis<\/strong><\/a> didn\u2019t love every drama the Sex and The City <\/em><\/a>writers threw at her character Charlotte York.<\/p>\n The actress, 60, admitted on the Thursday, March 13 episode of her podcast \u201cAre You a Charlotte?\u201d<\/a> that there was one plot she didn\u2019t want to film.<\/p>\n Davis recalled that there was a storyline in season 6 of the HBO series that involved Charlotte and her second husband Harry, played by Evan Handler,<\/strong> suffering a bout of food poisoning. The characters were supposed to be enjoying a fancy, romantic night eating an array of French cheeses before things took a turn for the worse and the characters ended up on the bathroom floor after getting sick.<\/p>\n \u201cI just hated that storyline so much,\u201d Davis confessed on the podcast, admitting she tried to convince the powers that be to cut the scene completely. \u201cI went to Elisa Zuritsky<\/strong> and Julia Rottenberg<\/strong> [the writers of the episode] and said, \u2018Please, do we have to do this? Why?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n However, Davis had no luck convincing them to cut the scene because the writers felt it was an amusing addition to the show.<\/p>\n \u201cThey were like, \u2018It\u2019s so funny,\u2019\u201d Davis recalled. \u201cI think it was based on a story where someone went to France and had a similar experience with their decadent cheeses, which we\u2019re not used to here.\u201d<\/p>\n The actress added, \u201cI didn\u2019t like that. I didn\u2019t want to lay on the floor of the bathroom with Evan in stained T-shirts. Ick.\u201d<\/p>\n Since her turn as Charlotte in the original HBO series, which ran from 1998 to 2004, Davis reprised her role for the 2021 reboot, And Just Like That\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n Last week, she shared more behind-the-scenes secrets on her podcast about the SATC\/AJLT<\/em> universe \u2014\u00a0 including one that involved the actor who played her first husband, Trey MacDougal.<\/a><\/p>\n In the March 7 episode of her podcast, Davis revealed Kyle MacLachlan<\/strong> turned down the opportunity to return as his character Trey.<\/p>\n \u201c[Executive producer] Michael Patrick [King]<\/strong> has this thing where he doesn\u2019t like us to talk about ideas for stories that didn\u2019t happen,\u201d Davis explained. \u201cBut I\u2019m just gonna tell you guys that there was an idea that Trey\/Kyle would come on And Just Like That,<\/em> and then it didn\u2019t happen. And so Kyle and I had to talk about it, because I was kinda mad at him. I said, \u2018Why didn\u2019t you come on? We wanted you to come on.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Davis went on to share MacLachlan\u2019s reasoning behind not coming back, explaining, \u201cHe said, \u2018I just wanted it to be amazing,\u2019 meaning that it had a kind of almost a sad note. I think I\u2019m not saying too much. I hope Michael\u2019s not gonna be mad at me. There was a bit of a sad note, but it had this incredible lead up to me seeing Trey again.\u201d<\/p>\n
