Love Is Blind<\/em><\/a> star Sara Carton<\/strong> slammed ex Ben Mezzenga<\/strong> for ditching her after their wedding during the season 8 finale.<\/p>\n After fans watched Sara, 29, tell Ben, 28, that she didn\u2019t want to marry him<\/a> during the March 7 episode, he said he wanted to continue dating. However, she didn\u2019t give him a firm answer and simply said, \u201cWe\u2019ll see.\u201d<\/p>\n Following the season 8 reunion<\/span><\/a> on Sunday, March 9, Sara told <\/span>People<\/span><\/i><\/a> that she was put off by his response.<\/p>\n \u201cWith the whole entire concept of \u2018you walk away forever,\u2019 I was like, that\u2019s disrespectful<\/a>, in a way, of what we signed up for and the whole entire point of why we\u2019re here,\u201d she told the outlet. \u201cAlso, me saying \u2018no\u2019 to a marriage, why would I continue dating someone? If you\u2019re going to say \u2018no\u2019 to that, why even continue the relationship?\u201d<\/p>\n During the reunion, Sara revealed that she and Ben lived together for about two weeks after their split. They even planned to move to Nashville together for her new temporary job, though Sara said he abruptly ended their romance out of nowhere.<\/p>\n \u201cAfter the wedding day, with all my hesitations I knew, I was like, I can\u2019t say \u2018yes\u2019 to a marriage today,\u201d she about her decision to not marry Ben. \u201cBut naturally, I\u2019m constantly hoping that things could work or maybe without all the chaos of not living a normal life right now, but later, being able to get back into our routines \u2026 I was thinking possibly it could work.\u201d<\/p>\n Sara then recalled Ben\u2019s decision to end their romance. \u201cWe had a discussion of us being together, and that one day \u2026 he removed me from Find My Friends. I didn\u2019t hear much from him because he was out with friends drinking, which is fine,\u201d she said. \u201cHe was going to a Twins game, having fun. But I didn\u2019t hear much from him, saw that he removed me from Find My Friends, and that\u2019s when it told me the most.\u201d<\/p>\n The Netflix star said that the experience gave her \u201cthe most clarity of who Ben is.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI was shocked and I felt super duped that he just waited for the time just to drop me. But I mean, it all made sense with everything that was coming to my attention throughout all of filming,\u201d she continued. \u201cHe was like, \u2018Oh, I thought we were broken up.\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018That was never the discussion.\u2019 It was bizarre. It was crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n Over the course of season 8, fans watched Sara and Ben navigate many roadblocks. Not only did they have different religious views<\/span><\/a>, but he came under fire when an ex claimed he treated her poorly <\/span>in a TikTok video<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI was questioning if he was there for the right reasons,\u201d Sara said while reflecting on the \u201cred flags\u201d in their relationship. \u201cI don\u2019t doubt that we had a good connection because we really did. I wouldn\u2019t have said \u2018yes\u2019 if I didn\u2019t feel like we had a good connection. But after a while with everything happening and then the YouTube cards and then my friends telling me about their experiences with him at the U, it just didn\u2019t add up.
