Bill Maher<\/strong><\/a> used his latest late night monologue to take another jab at Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s dating history.<\/span><\/p>\n The comedian, 69, managed to link President Donald Trump<\/strong>\u2019s recent string of international controversies back to the pop star\u2019s relationship with Travis Kelce on the Friday, March 7 episode of HBO\u2019s Real Time with Bill Maher<\/i><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThis world is so upside down now,\u201d Maher said. \u201cIt took Trump three weeks to break up with Ukraine and Mexico and Canada. And yet, Taylor Swift has the same boyfriend for over a year.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Maher added, \u201cIt\u2019s alright. She can take it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Swift, 35, has been dating the Kansas City chiefs superstar, also 35, since September 2023. Maher has never been married.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n It didn\u2019t take long for fans of the \u201cCruel Summer\u201d to come to her defense on social media.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWhat is Bill Maher\u2019s problem with Taylor Swift? She seriously lives rent free in his head,\u201d one person wrote via X.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Another wrote that Maher is \u201cbothered by Taylor\u2019s existence and success because he cannot fathom how she can achieve what she has without catering to the male gaze and by writing exclusively about the female experience.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n In July 2024, Maher gave another blunt assessment<\/a> of Swift and Kelce\u2019s relationship during an interview with Haliey Welch<\/strong> (a.k.a. Hawk Tuah Girl) on his \u201cClub Random\u201d podcast.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m sure she\u2019s a lovely person, but the whole thing with the football player,\u201d Maher said. \u201cI just felt like 35 was a little old to be like, \u2018My boyfriend\u2019s a football player and I wear his jersey to the game with his number on it!\u2019 I mean, come on.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Welch, 21, defended Swift from Maher\u2019s ire, saying, \u201cWhatever makes her happy. If that\u2019s what she wants to do and it makes her happy, it ain\u2019t got nothin\u2019 to do with me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s gonna dump her, though, You know that?\u201d Maher retorted. \u201cWith her, it\u2019s like the Gatorade at the Super Bowl, you know you\u2019re gonna get dumped. You just don\u2019t know when.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n In February, Maher also made a snide comment about Swift\u2019s past during a \u201cClub Random\u201d interview with country star Luke Bryan<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
