Michelle Rodriguez has enjoyed huge success in Hollywood<\/p>\n

The 46-year-old actress has enjoyed huge success in the movie business, starring in the ‘Avatar’ and the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchises – but Michelle still sees herself as outlier in Hollywood.<\/p>\n

She told PEOPLE: “I think, ultimately, at the end of the day, it’s like being a salmon swimming upstream, and Hollywood always feels like the stream.”<\/p>\n

Michelle is determined to remain true to herself in the film business.<\/p>\n

She explained: “You don’t want to be pushed around or [let] anybody to tell [you that you] can’t get to the other side of the river. I’m going to get there one way or another. I don’t care which way everybody else is going.<\/p>\n

\n“That’s the rebellion. All it is is just sticking to who you are.”<\/p>\n

\nMichelle previously insisted that her “line in the sand is very clear”.<\/p>\n

\nThe actress explained that there are some boundaries that she’s simply unwilling to cross in her career.<\/p>\n

\nThe movie star told Collider: “My line in the sand is very clear. There’s a line for self-respect, there\u2019s a line of this is what I wouldn’t do in front of millions of people around the world on purpose. You know what I mean? <\/p>\n

\n“And if you try to cross that line with me, perhaps trying to get me to play a s*** in front of millions of people around the world, won’t happen. Try to get me to be the loser girlfriend who has a cheating boyfriend and cries over him an entire film, not gonna happen. Be the girl who’s a stripper or a drug dealer because Latinos are thrown into that box all the time. I’m like, not gonna happen.”<\/p>\n
